Eli was sleeping at his babysitter's house, because tonight is the full moon, and unknown to the little Lockwood, his dad, Tyler, just turned into a wolf in the national parks of Minnesota.
It's always the same routine. Full moon comes, Tyler leaves his son with a babysitter. A witch no less. But said babysitter forgot to put on the barrier spell. Cause it's meant to protect the house should Tyler or any wolf that turns into the park stumbles onto the house. But that's not the worst part as Eli wakes up and hears a noise coming from downstairs.
"Will?" He goes downstairs to investigate what's going on. Once he reaches the living room, he sees Will on the floor (alive) two armed men. They haven't seen Eli yet, so the boy attempts to sneak outside, but when he opened the door, it made a sound, causing Eli to look back at the two men and they see him.
Fearing for his life, Eli runs as the men chase him outside the backyard. But before they catch the little boy, one of them disappears. Causing the other one to look around and look for his partner.
Eli hides behind a tree and covers his ears. Which is a good thing he did because what came next was a women ripping his heart out with ease. The little boy stayed there for awhile until said women came and found him. "Hey, it's ok." Eli looks up and is met with a strikingly gorgeous with light olive skin, hazel green eyes, and dark brown hair. "What's your name, huh?"
"My dad says I'm not allowed to talk to strangers." Eli replied. Remembering what his dad told him.
"Ok then let's fix that. I'm Hayley. Nice to meet you."

Eli doesn't know why, but he feels like he can tell her as she seems friendly enough. "Eli. Eli Lockwood."
Hayley was surprised. "Is your dad Tyler Lockwood by any chance?" The kid nods and Hayley looks up at the moon and realizes that werewolves are to turn on full moons. "Okay, we're gonna go inside, ok? It's a little chilly out here." Eli follows Hayley and she's thankful Will was alive and invited her in.
