To say Dr

To say Dr. Saltzmen and Hope were shocked and scared to learn that Eli just transformed into the final form is an understatement. Especially when they learned how he ended up going into that form. Turns out there was another monster.

The Beast of Gévaudan.

And Eli, despite using the other two forms that were just mention, not including his werewolf form as he figured it was useless against the beast, it was not enough and he could have died had the beast not threatened to kill Hope and his friends. Which triggered something else in him. Through that state of mind, he was able to defeat the beast.

Derek who was filled in on what happened, and he got to read the book that detailed the Lycan species, he concluded that what happened was him tapping into something called Feral Rage.

Lycans can tap into a primal instinctive state of mind, which can release an unstoppable rage that allows them to perform in vastly increased capacity, taking and inflicting damage that they couldn't or wouldn't in their normal state. In some cases, their mind descends so far into the feral state that, mentally, they are little more than wild animals.

It can be activated through fear, rage and at times hate.

"That would have explained how you gain the upper hand on the beast. Which worries me now, because Eli, now that you've unlocked that final form, who knows how long before you..." Derek hesitant to say it. Sure he's done enough test on Stefani's blood, be he still needs another opinion on the blood. I'm the cure. He wonders though... if he can contact Qetsiyah. She created The Cure, thus she can tell if it's really The Cure. But how would he do that? There is no other side. And for all he knew, his ancestor either found peace or found herself in eternal darkness. Or could she have found something else in between? Who could really say. And Derek is running out of time. He does not know how long Eli will have, but it must be now.

After explaining what happened, Hope asked if Eli if she can spend the night in her dorm. Because tonight she thought she had lost him.

And Eli doesn't blame her for thinking that. He too that he was gonna die. He thought all that training, all the effort he put into defeating it was enough, but it wasn't. Eli had to transform. Because he was thinking about his friends. About Hope. And he couldn't let anything happen to her. The Beast of Gévaudan was a powerful creature. But in the end, Eli defeated it. Though he wonders how much time he has.

Even after he just woke up from a long sleep with Hope, he felt his nosebleed again and quickly wiped it. He doesn't want to worry just yet. He hopes Derek can confirm that this cure he just studied from Damon's daughter will help him.

And Eli is enjoying the peaceful moment with Hope laying on his chest and he's holding her close to him. For a moment, the would be Tribrid is enjoying the soft sounds of his heart and the warmth of his body. But then she starts to stir in her sleep. And Eli noticed. Even she begins to sense her fear. He can smell it. And then he sees how distress she is and gets off the bed. "Hope? Hope, wake up. Wake up!" She does and sends a magical blast at him, sending him flying and crashing on her paint stuff.
