It's true that being the bride has it's own perks, especially if you are an Indian bride. I mean, in my point of view, they are the most pampered ones. Like you get to play dress up with some amazingly beautiful costumes on different events of the wedding, unlike the white wedding. The salon service that the bride gets throughout the wedding month. The special kind of diet she follows, the amazing parties, the amazing food, photo sessions like a supermodel and not to forget the gifts she gets, especially money. So, in short, this phase in the life of an Indian girl is probably the time where she gets pampered and taken care of by almost everyone.
After the photo session, Rudraksh and Yuvika were led to the dining area for dinner. Yuvika was starving would be an understatement. It felt like the mice in her stomach were playing tug of war. She was glad that the food items were already served at the family table.
Thanks to her heavy ornaments and all, she couldn't even feel her hands properly. Note the sarcasm. Rudraksh saw her struggling and stopped her. He waved an waiter over and asked him to serve their plates. He was also tired, what did you expect?!
The waiter filled the couple's plate with different types of dishes including the vegetarian Indian cuisine, which included mostly of the north-indian food items and some other vegetarian dishes from around the world, alongside a flute of champagne. Yuvika mumbled a grateful thank you to the water before he left and then she dug in alongside the others, including Rudraksh, who was more interested in his mobile.
Taking a spoonful sweetcorn soup, Yuvika shoved it into her mouth, relishing the first bite of proper food she had till yet, this day. She sighed in content, grabbing an amused look from Rudraksh whose eyes seemed to be focused on his wife now, instead of the device in his hand. He took a sip from his champagne flute as he looked at his wife enjoying the naan and curry, that she attacked on after finishing the bowl of soup. He cleared his throat, finally deciding to stop being the creep, who gawks at his wife whilst she is eating and comment on it instead.
Yuvika, getting disturbed by her husband's constant gaze and now, clearing of throat, looked in his direction, raising a brow in a questioning way.
"What?" She asked in a low tone.
"Nothing but what's up with you?" Rudraksh asked, leaning closer to the table, so no one would hear their conversation.
Yuvika frowned, "What's up with me?" She asked.
"You are eating like you haven't eaten in ages!" He said, smirking.
Yuvika rolled her eyes and focused back on her butter naan, "More like I haven't eaten any proper food today." She mumbled.
Rudraksh chuckled and continued having dinner. After dinner, he dragged her to meet some of the guests, including the business associates and clients of AGCs (Agnihotri Group of Companies).
