The situation demanded a weird kind of calmness and it wasn't a great fort for Rudraksh. Rudraksh's anger and short temper have significant impacts in various aspects of our lives. As his wife, I often see how deeply his anger affects him and those around him. He has always been under immense pressure from his family to uphold their reputation and succeed in the business world. This pressure often makes him feel overwhelmed, and when things don't go as planned, his frustration turns into anger. His inability to manage this pressure healthily leads to frequent outbursts. He also tends to suppress his emotions, which only builds up his frustration over time. He has a strong ego and a need for control, which makes him intolerant of situations where he feels powerless or challenged. This desire for dominance often leads to aggressive behaviour.
His anger significantly strains his relationships sometimes, not just with me, but with other family members as well. His harsh demeanour creates a barrier between him and his loved ones. In his professional life, Rudraksh's anger creates a tense work environment. His employees often feel scared to even approach him. And right now, I know how he must be feeling.
He has just come back from the board meeting and from his demeanour and expressions, I could say that it didn't end really well for him because as soon as he came, he literally banged the door close with a loud thud that I'm sure almost everyone in the villa must have heard. His hair dishevelled, ear tips turned red, blazer off and shirt’s top buttons undone; he was a mess.
I was downstairs in the living room, just arrived from the office and was having a glass of detox drink with mum when he stormed into the villa. Without even glancing at anyone, he literally raced upstairs and it was enough to let us know about the outcomes of the board meeting. I was dreading to face him or call papa but I opted to wait for Dad and Dadaji. I excused myself and went upstairs after grabbing my files and handbag from the sectional.
Pushing the door open to our room, I cautiously stepped in and looked around only to find the room empty. I closed the door and advanced inside but stopped short after seeing Rudraksh perched on the barstool in front of the minibar setup in our room, drinking straight from a whisky bottle, his features looking drawn.
I quietly placed my belongings on the bed before approaching Rudraksh with calculative steps.
“Rudra!” I put a hand on his shoulder, causing him to tense up.
He turned to face me in a flash and I stumbled back a few steps with a gasp when I looked at his state. His eyes were bloodshot red and his face had that demonic aura that sent shivers down my spine. I shuddered, flinching when he slammed the bottle down on the counter. A little more force when it would have broken for sure.
“You knew about it, didn't you?” His menacing voice brought me back to reality as I stood frozen in the middle of the room, “Of course you did. But didn't give me a heads up!”
