I settled into a plush chair at the upscale rooftop lounge, the dim lights casting a warm glow over the sleek, modern decor. The cityscape spread out beneath us, twinkling like a sea of stars. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming, the perfect backdrop for an evening out with Riya.

As soon as Riya arrived, her wide smile and sparkling eyes made me feel at ease. “It’s been ages, huh!” she exclaimed, pulling me into a warm embrace.

“I know, right?” I replied, hugging her back tightly. “We’ve both been so busy, but I’m glad we could finally make this happen.”

We settled into our seats, the comfortable ambiance of the lounge immediately putting us in a relaxed mood. A server approached us, handing over the cocktail menu with a polite smile.

Riya scanned the menu, her brows furrowed in concentration. “Let’s start with something fun. How about we try the ‘Lavender Twilight’? It’s got gin, lavender syrup, and a hint of elderflower liqueur. Sounds fancy, doesn’t it?”

I nodded, intrigued. “Sounds perfect. I’ve been craving something refreshing.”

The server noted our order and disappeared, leaving us to catch up.

“So, what’s new with you?” Riya asked, leaning forward slightly. “I heard about Rudraksh’s big victory. Must have been quite an experience.”

I smiled, thinking back to the whirlwind of events surrounding Rudraksh’s success. “It was intense, but it all worked out in the end. We had a little celebration at home with the family.”

Riya grinned. “Sounds like things are going well on all fronts. How’s married life treating you?”

I chuckled softly, feeling a mix of emotions. “It’s been… interesting. Busy, but good. Rudra is… well, he’s Rudra.”

Before Riya could ask more, our cocktails arrived, each glass a beautiful shade of lavender, garnished with a sprig of fresh lavender and a lemon twist. I took a sip of the ‘Lavender Twilight,’ letting the floral notes of the lavender and the slight tartness of the lemon dance on my tongue.

“This is amazing,” I said, setting the glass down. “Just what I needed.”

Riya nodded in agreement, her eyes shining with mischief. “I knew you’d love it. So, tell me more about everything— Paris, work, Rudra, anything new and exciting?”

I took another sip, feeling the coolness of the drink spread through me. “Well, there’s definitely been a lot going on. Paris was a whirlwind— Elaine and Jared are expecting, can you believe it? And work has been… demanding, but it keeps me on my toes.”
