I kept looking at my husband in front of me, blinking in confusion because of his sudden change in personality. Does he have a dual personality disorder or something?! I mean, yeah, he is very humble and soft spoken among his family members, but sweet and RK, well this combination is as weird as the mixture of salted chips and Nutella.
I looked down at the bracelet around my right wrist, which fitted perfectly and looked gorgeous.
"Yeah, it's pretty." I nodded in agreement before looking up at Rudraksh again, who was still standing in front of me, with his hands pocketed into the sweatpants pockets, "Thank you for the gift."
"You're welcome!" Rudra nodded, not moving an inch from his place and it looked like he wanted to tell me something.
"Uh—you wanted to say something?" I asked.
Rudra frowned, thinking deeply about something before nodding and taking a seat in front of me, with one leg folded underneath him and the other on the floor.
"What is it about?" I asked, sitting straight to face him.
He sighed, "I am leaving for San Francisco on Sunday." He said.
I perked up, "San Francisco? And this Sunday?"
"Yeah! I am signing a deal with one of the entrepreneurs there. So, to finalise and seal the deal between us, I am going to the USA for two weeks." He explained, "and you're going to come with me."
My eyes widened, "W—what?"
"Don't look so surprised. It's dad and dada ji's orders." He defended.
Ouch. I think my heart just broke.
"Oh!" My mouth turned into an 'o' and I nodded, "But why though?"
He shrugged, "They said that I shouldn't be leaving just after our marriage but since it is an urgent matter and I really have to go, I should take you with me. To spend some time with you, get to know you better and all." He said and I nodded, blushing a little, but thanks to the face mask, my red tinted cheeks can't be seen.
"You should inform Aditya uncle that you wouldn't be available at the firm for these weeks." Rudra said.
I nodded, "Yeah, I would do that."
He nodded back in return, "Cool. I have some files to look at, so I will be in my library. You should sleep." He got up from the bed, "Good night."
I nodded, "Yeah. Good night."
He left the room, after taking his files and laptop with him. I laid down on the bed, reading a new magazine.
