At the Agnihotri Care Centre, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy. The care centre, a spacious and well-maintained facility, was bustling with activity. The elderly residents and orphaned children eagerly awaited Rudra's arrival. Decorations in the form of colourful balloons and streamers adorned the entrance, adding to the festive spirit. As we arrived, Rudra and I were greeted by the centre’s staff, who guided us to the main hall where the residents and children had gathered.

"Welcome, Mr. Agnihotri!" one of the staff members said, shaking his hand warmly. "We're so grateful for your visit and the generous donation. And Happy Birthday, Sir."

The elderly and children, dressed in their best clothes for the occasion, greeted Rudra and me with smiles and cheers. The air was filled with a sense of celebration, and the children, in particular, seemed excited to meet the birthday boy. Rudra, always at ease in such situations, made his way through the crowd, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries. He had prepared a substantial donation of clothes, toys, and sweets, all neatly packed and ready to be distributed. I helped distribute the sweets and toys to the children, who were thrilled with their new gifts. Each child’s face lit up with delight as they received their presents. The elderly residents were also treated to the same assortment of traditional sweets that we had distributed earlier to the media.

Rudra took a moment to address the crowd. Standing at a small podium, he spoke with heartfelt sincerity. "It’s an honour to be here today and to give back to the community. I believe in making a positive impact wherever possible, and I hope these gifts bring a little extra joy to everyone here."

The response from the audience was warm, with many expressing their gratitude through claps and cheers. Rudra’s genuine kindness was evident, and it was clear that his visit was deeply appreciated. After the distribution, Rudra and I spent some time interacting with the residents and children, chatting and taking photos. The atmosphere was light-hearted, filled with laughter and a sense of togetherness. As the visit came to a close, Rudra and I said our goodbyes, promising to return in the future. The staff and residents waved us off, their smiles a testament to the success of the day.

As we drove back to the villa, the setting sun bathed the landscape in a warm, amber glow. The roads were quieter now, offering us a serene escape from the earlier bustle of the day.

The gentle hum of the car’s engine was almost hypnotic, and I found myself leaning back comfortably in my seat. Rudra glanced over at me, a soft smile playing on his lips. His hand rested casually on the gear shift, but every now and then, his fingers would brush against mine, sending a warm shiver up my spine.

We were both lost in our thoughts when Rudra suddenly broke the silence. “You know, today has been quite a whirlwind. But it’s moments like these that make it all worthwhile.”
