After the lively Raksha Bandhan celebrations at the Agnihotri villa, Rudraksh and I stepped outside, the sun casting a golden hue over the garden. He looked exceptionally handsome, his forehead adorned with a tilak that added to his charm.

As he slid into the driver’s seat, the sunlight caught his sunglasses, making him look effortlessly stylish. I noticed how he had rolled up the sleeves of his crisp shirt, revealing the rakhis on his wrist— a blend of tradition and modernity that perfectly suited him.

The moment he turned to me with that signature smile, I felt a rush of warmth. “Ready to go?” he asked, and I nodded, feeling grateful for his presence. As he drove, I admired how he navigated the streets with confidence, the engine purring softly.

As we cruised through the familiar streets, Rudraksh glanced over at me, a hint of playfulness in his tone. “Do you remember, your chachu and chachi have invited me for dinner tonight?,” he said, his eyes twinkling behind his sunglasses.

I smiled, surprised yet pleased. “Yes, of course. They’ll be happy to host you,” I replied, imagining the warm atmosphere of our family gathering.

“Yeah, they insisted I join after the rakhi celebrations. Said something about not missing out on the delicious food,” He chuckled, shaking his head. “I can’t say no to that, can I? Just a heads up— don’t let your chachu and chachi fuss too much over me. I can’t have them going overboard with the food just because I’m there.”

“Of course not! You know how my chachi loves to feed everyone,” I teased, enjoying the thought of him fitting right into my family’s warmth.

Rudraksh nodded, a content smile on his face. “I’ll be there, just don’t let them spoil me too much,” he joked, glancing back at the road. “But I want to keep them from thinking I’m some kind of guest of honour.”

“Good luck with that!” I teased, loving the easy banter between us as we continued toward my chachu and chachi’s home.

As we pulled up to my chachu and chachi’s home, I took in the familiar sight of the vibrant flowers adorning the entrance. The sun cast a warm glow over everything, adding to the festive atmosphere. Rudraksh parked the car and I took off my seatbelt. Stepping out, Rudraksh adjusted his sunglasses, his forehead still adorned with the tilak from the puja. He looked effortlessly handsome, and I felt a flutter of pride as we walked toward the door together.

My chachi opened the door with a beaming smile. “Yuvika! Rudraksh! You both made it!” she exclaimed, ushering us inside. The aroma of delicious sweets and savoury dishes wafted through the air, instantly making my mouth water.

“Come in, come in!” my chachu added, his face lighting up at the sight of Rudraksh. “We’ve been waiting for you both.”

As we stepped inside, my chachi grabbed my hand, practically dragging me further into the house. “Come on, Yuvika! You have to help with the preparations!” she exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious.
