Griha pravesh, simply means the homecoming or welcoming the new bride in her husband's home. This ceremony is a pivotal part of the post-wedding rituals in north-india and as both the Agnihotri and Jaisingh family is from the northern part of India, this is an important ritual for both the families.

A brass pot filled with rice was kept at the house's main entrance alongside some flower petals underneath. Yuvika who was wearing her footwear, took those off and pushed the kalash with her right feet gently and stepped into the house with Rudra by her side, who looked surprisingly curious about these rituals. Then Yuvika was taken to the puja hall of the Agnihotri villa where she needed to carry on another ritual. One of the maids took care of her handbag and heels whilst she, alongside Rudraksh, was led to a side where a white metallic plate was placed. Yuvika saw two more plates hung on the wall, the first one featuring the imprint of a pair of footprints and the other had two sets.

"Beta!" Shalini put her hand on Yuvika's shoulder to grab her attention and when she did, she continued, "These are mine and your chachi's whilst that one belongs to your dadi. Each generation of the daughter-in-laws of the Agnihotri family has these imprints."

Yuvika's lips formed into an 'o' shape and she nodded, understanding the logic now.

"Yes, and now it's your turn!" Nandini (Rudraksh's chachi) said.

Yuvika nodded and glanced down at the brass plate filled with thin red liquid before keeping her feet into it. Then she put her coloured feet on the plate, leaving her footprints there and removing them, only to put her feet in a vessel filled with water. After she washed her feet, one of the maids helped her to dry them and she thanked the maid. Then she was led to the puja house, where she took the blessings from the deities, especially from lord Shiva, the Agnihotri family's ancestral God.

Geetanjali put vermilion tilak on both Yuvika and Rudra's forehead and then they were asked to rest for sometime before lunch, where Pragati, Rudraksh's bua and Priya, her daughter will join them, as they are back.

Rudraksh was the first one to leave as soon as he got the chance, sticking his mobile phone on his ear whilst Yuvika was left near the staircase, looking at the retreating figure of her husband who seemed to be in a hurry as he left the house from the main entrance. Sensing Yuvika's turmoil, Raeesha decided to be her knight in shining armour as she grabbed her bhabhi and led her upstairs to her bhai's room, which is now her bhabhi's as well.

"So, here is your room that you will now share with bhai!" Raeesha said, spreading her arms and then dropped it, "I don't know how I will do that in future. I don't like to share my room, you know. Even in my uni, I had a separate flat, arranged by bhai, away from the uni dormitories. I guess I will have to kick my husband out of the room."
