As we approached the grand estate, the familiar gates swung open, revealing the long, tree-lined driveway illuminated by elegant lanterns. I felt a comforting sense of familiarity mingled with the excitement of the day's events. This place had been a second home since our engagement, but tonight, it felt different—tonight, it was officially my home.

Bodyguards stood discreetly at various points, their presence a constant reminder of the family's prominence. As we pulled up to the entrance, a team of staff members awaited us, ready to assist. Rudraksh stepped out first, his commanding presence immediately acknowledged by the attendants. He turned to offer me his hand, helping me out of the car with a rare, gentle smile.

Walking through the enormous double doors, I was greeted by the grandeur of the mansion, as always. The marble floors gleamed under the soft lighting, and the high ceilings gave the space an almost cathedral-like reverence. Artworks and priceless artefacts adorned the walls, each piece telling a story of history and affluence.

"Welcome home," Dadi said warmly, her voice echoing slightly in the vast foyer. Her words, though familiar, carried a deeper significance tonight. I smiled at her, feeling both overwhelmed and grateful for her kindness.

The family gathered around, their faces still glowing from the evening's festivities. Despite their evident fatigue, they were all keen to make me feel comfortable. Dadaji with his ever-present twinkle of wisdom, placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You've done wonderfully tonight. Now, it's time to rest."

Staff members efficiently took care of our belongings, and I followed Rudra up the sweeping staircase. The grandeur of the mansion continued to amaze me; every detail was meticulously designed, from the ornate railings to the plush carpeting underfoot.

We reached our suite, a vast and elegantly decorated space. The bedroom was adorned with luxurious fabrics, and the large windows offered a stunning view of the estate grounds, now bathed in moonlight. A four-poster bed dominated the room, its linens pristine and inviting.

Rudraksh usually so formal and distant, seemed more relaxed now. He gestured towards a comfortable chair by the window. "You should sit and rest for a moment," he suggested. I nodded and sank into the chair, the soft cushions providing much-needed relief.

He walked over to the minibar and poured two glasses of water, handing one to me. "It’s been a long day," he said, his tone softer than usual. "You handled everything with grace." His words, while simple, carried a weight of acknowledgment I hadn't expected.

"Thank you," I replied, feeling a surge of gratitude. "Everyone has been so welcoming. It means a lot to me."

He nodded, taking a sip of his water. For a moment, we stood in a companionable silence, the enormity of the day settling in. Despite his usual aloofness, there was a hint of warmth in his eyes, and I felt a flicker of hope for our future.
