I sat at the dining table, my mind already on the day ahead. The kitchen staff had laid out the usual spread-toast, fresh fruit, and, of course, my coffee.
Dadaji and Dad joined us. The conversation was minimal, but Dadaji's steady presence and Dad's quiet support were comforting. As I sipped my coffee, Yuvika's hand lightly brushed mine as she handed me the final documents. I glanced at her, appreciating the silent encouragement in her eyes.
"Ready?" she asked softly.
I nodded, finishing my coffee. "I'll finalise everything today. I'll meet you at the office afterward."
With that, I grabbed my belongings and headed out. There was no time for anything else-today was too important. As the driver drove me outside the gates of the Agnihotri villa, my thoughts went to the deal and all the efforts that Daksh made to snatch the deal from me. But at last, he didn't succeed, of course. I smirked for my victory. Just a single thing is left, and I am just going to do that right away. Shrugging my arm, I glanced down at my wristwatch and ordered the driver, "Drive fast! I don't have the whole day to waste in the car."
"Yes sir!" The driver nodded and sped up.

When I arrived at the authority's office, I was all business. The building was imposing, a testament to the kind of deals made within its walls. But I wasn't here to be intimidated; I was here to close this deal and ensure that everything went according to plan. I knew it would be a high-stakes day, but I wasn't expecting to see *him* here-Daksh Agarwal. He stood near the entrance, casually leaning against the wall, but his eyes were sharp, tracking my every move.
He greeted me with a sly smile. "Rudra, I didn't expect to see you here personally. Sending your lackeys wasn't enough this time?"
I gave him a curt nod, not in the mood for his games. "Some deals require personal attention, Daksh. You should know that by now."
His smile widened, but it didn't reach his eyes. "I'm sure you'll find today's proceeding- interesting."
Ignoring him, I moved past. I walked through the entrance with purpose, my team of assistants following closely behind, each carrying their own set of files and blueprints. I could have sent one of them to handle this, but this project was too crucial to leave in anyone else's hands. This was my responsibility, and I wouldn't let anything slip through the cracks.
As I stepped into the boardroom, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. The members of the authority, men and women with decades of experience, were already seated, their eyes trained on me. They expected nothing less than perfection from me-Agnihotri Enterprises had a reputation to uphold, and I had no intention of disappointing.
