Chapter 16- Camping

It was now mid-July and I have to admit Los Angeles wasn't that interesting anymore, since everyone was somewhere else spending their holidays.
But we didn't really have anything planned for our summer, so we were staying there trying to find something exciting to do.
We had already fine to California Adventure two times and almost everyday we went into the pool in our backyard.
But after a week of pure heat and boredom, Rydel received a phone call.
I gave her a questioning look silently asking her who she was talking with, and she mouthed me ' Calum '.
" Yeah, I think we'll be able to come..." ...
" Uh I have to check in the garage, but I think we have one..."
...
"Cool, so next Tuesday? "
...
"Alright, thank you"
...
"Bye" she hung up.

In the meantime, a small crowd, aka my siblings, had gathered around her. She began telling us what she was speaking about in the previous conversation,
" So Calum called me, " some ' awwww's were heard. Rydel rolled her eyes.
"Anyway, the boys invited us all to go camping with them from next Tuesday to Friday."
Ross immediately ran to ask Mark whether there was anything else planned for those days.
He came back after a few minutes saying we could go.
"Oh wait, they also asked me if we have a spare tent since theirs recently broke"
Rocky and Ryland went to the garage to look for it.
I smiled mostly to myself. Finally we'd go on an adventure, even if living with the Lynches' was an adventure itself, actually.
I went back to my room to check if I was lacking stuff for camping. After all it was already Sunday, so if I needed something I would have time to buy it the next day.
I was pretty sure I had everything, so I headed downstairs. There was a delicious smell coming from the kitchen. There were Rydel, Riker and Ryland making dinner. Actually, Ryland was there just to steal some food ( which was a really relatable situation ).
I asked if they needed help and since they didn't, I joined Stormie on the couch.
We watched a tv series together but we weren't really paying attention. We spent most of the time laughing and talking and this is why Stormie is amazing: she is both a great mom and a wonderful friend.
