As days passed, I realised Rydel probably forgot about her revenge, or that she (and the others) were just too coward. Not that I was a dangerous person or anything.
It was a rainy morning in October, and I was skyping with Michael, who had just finished a show.
We were almost done when Ryland came in my room, which was a forbidden place in the morning since it was when Michael and I were skyping. He must've had a reason to break such an important (yet never mentioned) rule.
"Can I... uhm... talk with Calum when you're done?" He asked. Of course, I agreed and wished Michael good night, because for him it was nearly midnight.
I left Ryland alone in my room to give him more privacy. He was a bit sad his best friend was miles and miles away, and I didn't blame him for wanting to talk with him.
It was one of those lazy mornings, where you wake up already not feeling like doing anything but watch TV all day and the current weather certainly didn't make me want to go outside.
Riker was, as usual, on his laptop and I could see he was particularly grumpy today, muttering something probably scolding his laptop for being 'an insult to the digital age' and I quote him directly. I decided not to bother him.
I found Ross and Rocky in the basement playing Just Dance.
"H-hey H-Hailie" panted the oldest boy.
"Hi. Who's winning?"
"This c-cheater" answered the blondie.
As they finished the song, they asked me if I wanted to join, and I did.
We played for something like twenty minutes which was extremely long considering I had just woken up. We reached the point when we were all super tired and I decided to go take a shower.
On the way to my room, I bumped into Ryland, who was now smiling after having seen his best friend.
I took a shower and washed my hair.
I felt my hair stinging a bit after applying the shampoo, but I didn't really care.
After drying it, it still felt weird, so I watched myself in the mirror and gasped in horror.
My hair was now GREEN!
Rydel and the boys waited so long to make me think they forgot to get a revenge. This was a disaster.
"RYDEL!"
"Yeah?" She asked innocently as I stormed downstairs. They were all there, probably waiting for me to make my glorious entrance.
I could see they were fighting back a laugh and this made me become frustrated and amused at the same time.
Suddenly they all started running outside, under the pouring rain. I joined them and somehow managed to tackle Rocky to the ground, since he was the nearest.
I started laughing, too, but I then regained myself and started scolding them. I had to lightly yell over the rain sound, not to mention the fact my hair was wet again and even more ruined.
"It's not even funny, I can't go around like this" I scolded them.
"It actually is fu-"
"Shut up Shor". Ross was amused by the fact I had used his middle name, but stopped laughing.
"Come on, it is an extremely good prank!" Defended Riker.
"And don't tell me you didn't deserve it!" Giggled Rydel, running towards the porch.
"I... It was kind of clever" I admitted.
"Green looks good on you" laughed Ryland.
After we were back inside, Ryland explained me that he hadn't actually spoken with Calum, but switched my shampoo with a dyeing one.
This little bítch.
Sadly, we decided to end our little pranks war, because this time Mark had gone mad after seeing my hair.
He scolded his sons and daughter but ended up laughing at my hairstyle.
I would probably spend the next week locked in the house, but I had to admit it was deadly smart.
Mental note: Never get on Rydel's bad side.
