Rydel and I woke up to an agitated Ashton shaking us.
"Why Ashtonnnn" Rydel whined.
"We are bringing Calum to the hospital " he said hurriedly.
I was still/already dressed since last night I didn't bother to change, so I offered to go with him to the hospital.
In a few minutes I was riding shotgun on Ashton's car, with a whiney Calum in the backseat.
"So, what happened, again?" I asked. They tried to tell me what had happened but they all were too confused.
"Basically, Ross challenged me to climb a f*cking tree, so I did but I fell as soon as I reached the second branch". He tried to sit up but cringed in pain.
"Now my ankle hurts a lot"
"Well, you're lucky you didn't fall on your arms, otherwise you couldn't play and THAT would be awful" commented Ashton watching his friend in the rear mirror.
At the hospital, Calum wasn't given priority since his was a minor injury. We waited for about an hour, then he was called by a doctor into another room. Ashton and I couldn't go with him, so we just waited there.
We started talking and Ashton asked me if I was enjoying myself at the Lynches' and other kinds of small talk.
We waited less than expected, and after a while we saw Calum with a bandage on his ankle. He was walking with a crutch and when he came closer he stopped in front of us.
"I got a sprained ankle"
"How long do you have to use that?" I said pointing at the crutch.
"Two. Weeks." He looked beyond pissed.

After our little trip to the hospital, Ashton drove me home. In fact, the others decided there was no point in continuing camping without Calum, so they had packed everything up and went back home.
As I walked through the front door, everyone started asking me how Calum was and I explained he was ok and he had to keep the bandage for at least two weeks.
I soon headed to my room to unpack my stuff, and after a few minutes Rydel came in my room with a bottle.
"Mom bought this lotion which helps scars fade. You have to put it on once a day. If you want it..." she handed me the tiny bottle.
"Thank you... I don't know what to say, I really appreciate it" I said smiling.
She pulled a sympathetic smile and told me she'd me downstairs setting up things for lunch.
"Ok, I'll join you soon" I said.
After she exited my room, I started to use the lotion. On my wrist, thighs and hips.
Once I was done I went downstairs and helped my sister cooking lunch.
We had our meal peacefully, laughing occasionally when Ryland remarked something funny from camping or Stormie told me some embarrassing stories from the boys' childhood.
Rydel and I decided to go shopping not only because my wardrobe was dramatically empty, but also because we needed some girls alone time.
We went to the mall, where we met Titus (Riker's best friend and one of the poor boys friendzoned by my new sister), bought some Starbucks and visited nearly every shop.
After a few hours (and I underline hours), we were tired but happy. We bought a bunch of cute clothes and surely had a lot of fun trying on weird outfits and pretended to be on the red carpet modeling.
I loved having an older sister, and I felt like Rydel enjoyed my company, too.
When we arrived home, I received a text.
