"Michael can I talk to you in private?"
"What did he do this time?" I asked almost annoyed.
"Oh nothing. I just need to tell him something. A secret". I rolled my eyes.
"We all know you have a crush on that girl, what's her name?"
"Uh no, wait, I don't know what you're talking about " he said blushing crazily.
"Cassidy! Her name is Cassidy" I teased him.
"I would really like to know about her, Ri" smirked Michael.
"I... alright, just come with me, please"
Michael nodded and followed him outside.
I was left alone, so I went in the backyard to find Rydel. I was helping her and the guys planning a party for a few days later. There were a lot of thing to be celebrated (Riker and Rocky's birthdays and the new album) so I helped them listing all the people that needed to be invited.
I found her talking just about the party with Luke, who said they'd be coming.
As I was approaching them, my phone rang. It was a call from Mark.
"Hi Hailie"
"Hi"
"Are you with the others?"
"Uhm yes, why?"
"Riker and Ross aren't answering their phones. They all have practise planned in ten minutes and no one is home"
"Oh I didn't know that. We're at some friends' house"
"It's okay, we'll postpone it. Just tell Ellington he doesn't have to come home"
"Alright, I'll tell him. Thanks"
"Thank you" he said before hunging up.
Rydel came next to me.
"Who was it?"
"Your dad. You were supposed to have practise in a few minutes". Her eyes widened and she cussed.
"Shìt I forgot". I explained her there was no problem and she relaxed. She offered to call Ell, walking away a bit for more privacy.
"Whatcha doing here all alone?" Asked me a puzzled Luke.
"I actually don't know" I admitted laughing, "Riker is talking with Michael probably about his new crush"
"Oh interesting" he smirked.
"Did you meet anyone interesting on tour?" I randomly asked.
"Uhm there was this really cool guy-"
"Girls. I meant girls"
"Not really, we- wait a minute" he stopped grinning.
"What?"
"You're jealous"
"No, I'm not!"
"You think Michael met some other girl" he said proudly.
"I... maybe" I gave in.
"Hailie, he's doesn't care about anyone else. It took us 20 dollars to get him to go clubbing with us"
I laughed, then he went on.
"Seriously, though. He was always talking about how things reminded him of you and how your jokes are the best and how much he missed you and stuff. He doesn't want anyone beside you"
After hearing his best friend reassuring me like that, my heart was melting and relieved. I never doubted about Michael, but it can sometimes happen to fall in temptation.
"Woah. That's what every girlfriend wants to hear" I softly laughed.
"Ahahah you're right. But it's simply the truth"
I was about to reply, when Ryland came next to us.
"Uhm, Hailie, wanna come see my football match this evening?"
"Of course! How comes I didn't know about that?"
"I kinda forgot to tell you. Calum's coming, too"
"I wouldn't mind coming" added Luke, followed by a nodding Ashton.
I saw Riker and Michael joining us, too.
"Did you eventually spill all your darkest secrets, Riker? It shouldn't have taken so long, look: I. Like. Cassidy. Not that difficult" I sassed.
"Shut up" he said looking down, smiling.
"No way, you kidnapped my boyfriend for almost twenty minutes!" I joked.
"Sorry!" He said raising his hands in surrender.
"Alright guys, we need to go home to practise" announced Delly.
"Ok. See ya" We greeted the four Aussies and headed home.
I watched band rehearsal and after R5 was done, we all stuffed into the car to reach the football field where the match was held.
When we arrived, our friends were there already there waiting for us.
