Chapter 46- You're evil

The thing about Ryland was that he loved beanies, as Connor used to do.
He often walked around the house wearing one, and that made the plan easier for me.
Another thing he treasured was his hair, which he put up everyday with a bit of gel.
That things combined together were the perfect mixture for my 'revenge'.
I had to bribe Ross to get him to help me, but I knew it was worth it.
So next day everyone was having breakfast and my youngest brother wasn't wearing a beanie, because for some reason he put it on after having eaten.
Just as everyone was going back to their rooms, Ross called Ryland to help him with the stairs. They shared a room, so it made sense that he asked Ryland to help him.
I rushed upstairs and hurried to the boys' bathroom where Ryry kept his gel. I took the bottle and quickly looked for his beanie.
I had told Ross to somehow make him wear the black one, so I was sure he would put on the right beanie.
I squeezed gel all inside the beanie spreading it a bit so it wasn't noticeable and left quickly.
I went downstairs and just waited.
I would have liked to see his expression and Ross later told me it was priceless.
Ryland put the beanie on and felt that something was wrong.
He then it pulled off and had an horrified look when saw there was gel all over it.
Ross told me he ran to the bathroom and cursed when he saw his hair was ruined.
"Why is Ryland screaming?" Asked me Riker, who was sitting next to me working on his laptop.
"I might have pulled a prank on him as a revenge"
"You're evil"
"Nah I'm not that bad"
Ryland stormed into the livingroom and pointed at me.
"You!" He exclaimed.
"Hailie, I suggest you to run" said Riker looking amused.
I did as told and ran in the backyard inevitably followed and chased by Ryland.
He pinned me to the ground and muttered,
"Not funny"
"It isn't being interrupted during PDA either"
"So that's your revenge?"
"Duh" I sassed.
He sighed in relief.
"I expected worse"
"Did you even see yourself?" I laughed.
"My hair is ruined now, THANKS"
"YOU'RE WELCOME MY DEAR SIBLING"
"Behave or I'll throw you again in the pool"
"Enough, I'll get fat so y'all will choose someone else to pick on!" I fake whined.
"I doubt it" he said getting up.
I saw Ross coming outside limping a bit and looked at me.
"Just making sure he didn't kill you"
"Oh please, I know he found it funny, too" I giggled.
"Actually, it was kinda clever" Ryland smiled, "but I'm going to wash my hair because it sucks right now"
"Yup it does, bro" laughed Ross.
The day was kind of lazy and I was trying to mock the guitar solo in 'Love like war' by All Time Low which turned out to be way more complicated than it already seemed.
I was almost there doing it correctly but a part still didn't sound right.
"Rockyyy" I called.
He reached me and asked me what I needed.
"I can't do this right, listen". I let the song play first, then I played what I had come up with so far.
"Try putting a G instead of a D" he said as soon as I finished.
I did and it indeed sounded right. He had an incredible talent.
"You're right, it sounds way better. How can you do that??"
"I just got used to the chords by playing a lot" he shrugged, "Anyway you did a really good job".
I thanked him shyly and he left.
Thinking about guitar made me think of Michael and how he was leaving in a month. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him.
I texted him asking if he wanted to go watching a movie at the cinema, because we never went to the movies together.
He texted me back right away, accepting my offer.

Mickey: 'Do you want to watch anything in particular?
'I saw the new Percy Jackson movie came out a few days ago, but anything is okay really'
'I like Percy Jackson ;) Pick you up after lunch?'
'If it doesn't bother you'
'Don't be silly, it never does! See ya at 3pm'
'Thanks <3'

He replied with another heart.
'Hailie lunch is ready" said Mark peeking at my door. I tossed my phone on my bed and followed him in the kitchen.
I couldn't wait to see Michael.
