When we arrived home, I received a text.
Mickey: 'Hey Hailie'
'Hi Gordon'
I knew he was annoyed by his middle name, that's why I used it a lot.
'Ew middle name'
I laughed at his reaction and was about to reply when another message arrived,
'What a pity, I was about to ask you out ;) '
I smirked
'Is the offer still on the table?'
'....Yes'
'Then I'm down for it ;)'
A suspect came into my mind
'Is it like a date?'
'Only if you want it to be'
Awwwww what a cutie.
'Of course I want it to be a date :)
Where are we going by the way?'
'It's a surprise *wink*'
Man, he was dorky also via text.
'Do I have to dress fancy or stuff like that?'
'Nah casual. Pick you up at 7!'
'Ok thanks. See you soon'
I tossed my phone on my bed and ran into Rydel's room
"DELLY I NEED YOU"
"Woah chill Hailie. What happened?" She asked laughing
"I might be going on a date tonight and might be picked up at 7"
"We only have 1 hour and a half... by the way who is it?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"Uh... Michael" I said blushing
"Michael? Like, Clifford?"
I nodded.
"That. Is. Amazing. Hailie. It's obvious he likes you"
I blushed even harder.
"He didn't tell me where we're going but he said to dress casually. Do you think I can wear that dress we bought today?"
"Sure, it is really cute"
I changed into that dress: it was really comfy, just above the knee, with a small lace around the waist. I put my vans on.
I watched my reflexion in the mirror and I decided it was a nice outfit.
Now I had to do my hair, so I asked Stormie to put it up in a nice way. I wasn't really stylish.
She was glad to do as asked, and started asking me a ton of questions about who the boy was and she concluded that Michael was a nice guy. After we were finished, I saw it was 6:57. God, just in time. The doorbell rang just after I thought about it, and I went to answer the door. There was Michael, dressed casually and with a big smile on his face.
"You ready?"
"Yep" I said smiling.
Then Riker came next to us and told Michael,
"Bring her back at, like, 11 bro?" It sounded more like a question.
"Don't worry, Ri" he responded chuckling.
Riker shook his head trying to hide a smile then closed the door.
Michel and I walked to his car and, as a gentleman must do, he opened the door for me. I murmured a flustered 'thank you' slightly blushing.
No boy ever made me feel like this, and every feeling was new to me.
He started driving and I asked him again where we were going.
"It's a surprise" he said smirking.
"Ugh pleaseee"
He looked at me, then smiled, then shook his head.
"Are you trying to kidnap me or something?"
"Maybe" he laughed.
Then he stopped the car. I saw we were just near the beach and a few feet from us there was a cloth layed on the sand and everything needed for a picnic.
"So, here we are" he said proudly.
I was amazed, no one had ever made something like this for me.
"It is perfect Michael, thank you"
We started walking toward the cloth and our hands brushed against each other.
