Michael lived in a shared house with the rest of the boys, so I didn't necessarily expect him to answer the door.
Instead, his dyed head popped out the door and smiled.
From his car, Riker yelled, "Hey bro!"
Michael raised his hand to greet him.
"What time do I drive her back?" Asked the Australian boy next to me.
"I don't know, around 7?"
He okayed and waved goodbye as my brother pulled out of the driveway.
Michael let me in and I saw that the boys weren't home. He noticed my confused look and explained.
"I made them go somewhere else. They are always too... loud" he laughed.
"I'm still convinced you want to kidnap me, though" I giggled. He gave me a confused look and I added,
"You're eliminating witnesses"
"I just want some peace sometimes" he replied grinning.
He showed me around a bit then we headed to the sitting room where there was a big tv.
We sat down on the couch and the word 'Netflix' came on screen.
"You can choose" he said.
I didn't want one of those cheesy movies such as the Notebook because I'm not that romantic. I saw that Spiderman 2 was available and since it is one of the many films I'm obsessed with, I asked if it was ok with Michael.
"I love this one" I said pointing toward the screen.
"She's a keeper" I heard Michael mutter.
"I heard you Clifford" I giggled. He slightly blushed.
"But it's true" he shrugged.
The movie started playing and we snuggled closer to each other.
We paid attention for half of the film, then we started paying attention to the other. He brought his arm around my shoulder and unconsciously started rubbing softly my arm.
Halfway through the movie, he paused it.
"We should stop acting like this" he said.
I shifted to look at him.
"Like what?"
"Like we want to take things slowly".
Then he added.
"I mean, it's clear we like eachother"
I nodded.
"And we kissed" I reminded him. It was the first time we acknowledged what had happened on the hill.
"Yeah, the kiss..." whispered Michael smiling, probably playing the memory in his head.
"Listen Hailie, I think we should at least try. I... I don't want to break your heart and trust me I won't.
Everytime I see you my heart skips and I can't help but wanting you to be my girl so... will you be my girlfriend?"
I gasped. It was the first time someone told me those words and knowing Michael it should have required all his courage to ask that question.
I thought we should give it a try, because Michael didn't look like one of those playboys breaking hearts all the time.
Instead of answering his question, I leant in and crashed my lips on his. Our second kiss was nothing less than the first one, same amount of passion and meaning.
As we pulled away, Michael softly giggled.
"I'll take that as a yes".
I simply smiled and cuddled into his chest, while we made the movie continue.
When we saw the credits scrolling, it was just in time for me to go home.
We grabbed our coats and found out too late it was raining. We started running to the car and once we were inside we realised we were both a mess and bursted out laughing.
We arrived at my house and Michael walked me to the door hand in hand.
As we were waiting for someone to open up, he gave me a soft goodbye peck and exactly in that moment Ross opened the door.
"Is that PDA I see?" He smirked.
"You're not considered public" giggled Michael. We said goodbye and I went in.
Just as I was walking towards my room, Ross called me.
"Hailieeee is there anything you need to tell me?"
"Yep. You smell". He pouted and I laughed.
We went to join the others for dinner.
