Dinner was quieter than usual, everyone was tired and after having our meal we decided to watch a movie. I didn't really pay attention to what we were watching and fell asleep soon.
Somebody must have carried me in my room because that's where I woke up next day. It was quite late, 10am, but probably nobody had to do anything particular so they didn't bother to wake me up.
I came downstairs just in time to witness a really interesting conversation between the two younger Lynches.
"I feel like cologne does the magic" stated Ross.
"No way, it is the hair"
"That's why you spend so much time struggling with it?"
Ryland nodded, then saw me.
"Hailie, what makes a boy appealing?"
"Uh, nice hair, good smell, last name Clifford..."
"Ah ah really funny" said Ross rolling his eyes, then continued "seriously though"
" I don't know, just don't be fuckboy"
I said looking toward Ryland.
"Whatever" he laughed.
As I learned a few minutes later, we needed to go grocery shopping for lunch. I offered to go, together with Rocky and Riker.
We bought way more stuff than needed and I swear that brining Rocky to the supermarket was worse than bringing a 4 - year - old: he would find any kind of candy and unhealthy stuff which Riker and I had to put back in place.
After those two excruciating hours we finally were home and making lunch. This time it was Ross and Rocky cooking, so Riker and I decided to finish watching Pirates of the Carribean from the previous night.
Lunch was surprisingly eatable, which I would have never guessed since Ryland nearly burnt the whole house down.
I was growing nervous with each minute for my date, which was now only two hours apart.
After lunch Rydel helped me picking the right outfit for my date.
I'm not one of those girls to spend hours deciding what to wear because I sincerely don't care, but for once I wanted to look good.
I wore a tank top and a skirt, not too short but neither too long.
I grabbed my purse where I put my phone and some cash, then looked at the clock: I still had 10 minutes.
I was growing ridiculously nervous even though I knew there was no reason to be. After all, he made it pretty obvious that he likes me back but you never know...
Boys can be players and I didn't want to be fooled by one, but deep inside I knew that Michael would never do that. Or at least I hoped so...
Strangely enough, I was calm by now. It was a simple hang out, right?
Then the doorbell rang. All the calm I had gained so far was thrown away and replaced by a dangerously fast heartbeat.
I opened the door and I saw the stunning boy right in front of me, smiling.
"Hey... you're beautiful" he said, his smile growing even wider if possible.
I felt myself blushing
"Thanks... you're not that bad yourself though" I chuckled as we approached his car.
As he did the other time, he held the door opened for me, then he got in, too.
The car ride was fun, we talked mostly about the thing that we both loved: music.
"All Time Low or Blink 182?" I asked.
He thought for a bit, then answered.
"Tough question... I'd say both". 'He is a keeper' I thought straight away.
As we arrived near a Starbucks, he parked his car and we got out.
Starbucks was really crowded due to the rush hour, so as soon as Michael and I got our drinks we hurried outside.
We started walking down the street, being able to see the sparkling sun on the beach.
That is when our hands brushed for the third time.
