Chapter 40- I'll buy you a maxi pizza

We were soon sitting down and Ashton brought the meal he cooked himself on the table.
"Ladies first" he stated putting a steak in my plate, then doing the same with the other three hungry boys.
Michael stared at me and ate a tiny piece of meat, clearly afraid of what he was about to chew. He made a surprised face and furrowed his eyebrows.
I took a bite and I was surprised, too, tasting a delicious steak.
"How is it Hailie?" Asked the oldest guy.
"It's actually good. Like really really good" I said approvingly.
Michael tossed his fork on the table and exclaimed,
"Ash, for once I have to demonstrate Hailie what an awful cook you are, you come up with amazing food. Not fair, mate" he fake whined.
"Maybe it's because I'm not an awful cook"
"You are" said all the other boys together.
I giggled as the poor curly Australian swore under his breath and turned his attention to his plate.
Shortly after, Michael suddenly stood up with a terrified look on his face and while doing that he made his glass fall over, spreading water on the table.
"Oh my god, Oh. My. God."
"What?" Asked Luke with a worried face. The galaxy haired boy pointed to the floor next to his chair and I saw there was a spider slowly walking up and down.
"Alright guys, I got this" I said. I'm one of the few human beings not scared by spiders or insects in general, so I am always the one dealing with spiders when needed.
"You sure?" Asked Ashton.
"It's not like it's dangerous guys, it's infinite times smaller than you" I said grabbing a napkin and letting the spider crawl on.
"Cal can you open the window?". Calum was the calmest one, so I assumed he wouldn't freak out. Boy, was I wrong. He strongly shook his head.
"Mickey?" I then asked. I couldn't open the window myself because with one hand holing the spider I didn't have enough strength to open it.
My boyfriend was hesitant.
"I'll buy you a maxi pizza" I suggested.
"Better be with extra topping" he muttered while hurriedly opening the window trying to stay the furthest away from the oh-so-scary animal in my hand.
I tossed the spider on the grass which was about 3 feet underneath the window and watch it walk away quickly.
"Good job Gordon" I said extending my arm for a high five.
"You're lucky you're my girlfriend because otherwise you'd still be holding that little motherfucķer"
"How comes you're not scared of spiders?" Asked Luke in disbelief.
"I don't see what's scary about them " I shrugged.
"They're just so... so... ugh" he sighed in frustration.
We cleaned the still wet table and put away the dirty dishes.
Michael asked me if I wanted to go grab a Starbucks and I gladly accepted.
It was a sunny day and I really needed an iced coffee to get my mind off the heat.
As soon as Michael and I had settled down on a bench sipping our drinks, my ringtone went off.

"Uhm hello? "
" Hi Hailie, sorry to interrupt anything going on but I need to tell you something " said Rocky worryingly.
" What happened??"
" Ross fell off his skateboard and is at the hospital right now"
" Oh my god is he okay? "
" He fell over pretty badly I have to say, but he should be alright by now"
" 'kay I'm coming home"
