As we rushed home, I explained Michael what was going on. It's not like my presence at home would make a big difference, but I wanted to see myself how Ross was doing.

When we arrived, everyone was already back from the hospital and was helping Ross settling on the couch.

"Oh hi Hailie" said he.

"How are you Ross?". I saw he was using crutches and he had a bendage on his knee.

"You mean apart from the stitches in my knee? Then I'd say pretty good" he answered. He was always one to become sassy when in pain.

"Poor boy, how many did they use?"

"Eight" he sighed passing his hand through his hair, then resting back on the couch.

"Auch" said Michael cringing.

"Now Ross tell me how it all happened, because nobody here is able to explain me" said Stormie with her hands on her hips, not angry but understandably worried for what made her son got injured,

"Alright" said Ross as Mark gently laid his leg on a chair so that he didn't have to keep his knee bent. The blondie let out a whimper and lightly hissed in pain, then relaxed.

"Rocky and I were skateboarding and we started racing each other. He was winning so I sped up but a small rock got in the way and I fell over... on the asphalt."

"Ugh that must have hurt" I noticed.

"You don't say" he sassed laughing. I rolled my eyes.

Michael tapped my shoulder and I turned around.

"I have a writing session in one hour" he said shoving his phone back in his pocket, "Gotta go"

"Ok. Thank you for the amazing day, Mickey. Oh and thank Ash for lunch"

"And the boys and I thank you for the spider" he giggled. I let out a giggle, too, and gave him a quick peck.

We said goodbye and I closed the door. I sat next to Ross on the couch.

"Two hours I have this bandage and I hate it already" he muttered.

"How long will you have to keep stitches?"

"Til next Monday" he whined, sitting up in a more confortable position.

"You're lucky tour is still a few months away"

"Yep. But it still is annoying having to change the bandage everyday and having someone to help you go around" he said sadly.

"Aw, it'll be over soon. And you'll have plenty of time to write songs and draw"

"Hailie we just finished a new album, I'm taking a break from writing" he laughed.

"You might as well anticipate your work and write new stuff" I shrugged.

"Yeah yeah right. Now I think I'll just go to my room" he said grabbing his crutches.

"Here, let me help you" said Ryland who had just come into the sitting room.

They slowly made their way to their shared room, between whispered cuss words by the older boy and soft giggled by the other.

I reached Rydel in the kitchen and I joined her eating some fruit.

"How was your day, Hailie?" she asked happily.

I started telling her about every detail of the few hours spent with Michael and she would squeal every now and then or laugh at a funny fact. It was really nice having someone to talk to and, most of all, who was great at listening.

It felt like we were actual sisters and I understood that our friendship was getting stronger every day.

It almost felt like the same relationship Connor and I used to have...
