1st May 1894

It had been another couple of weeks and not much had been going on. They had been preforming scams and light robberies. Though it had been almost 5 months since Robert had joined the gang. Though while most had still accepted him in the gang by this point. (Or only tolerate him). Only Arthur had been the opposing person as he never trusted him, even after knowing everything that had happened. The pair had never been on a job together and when Dutch or Hosea tried to get them to do a scam or another robbery, it ended with either one of them leaving and someone else would fill their shoes.

Though aside from the usual jobs and heists the gang were getting into, things were relatively normal and calm. Just the way Arthur liked it in the gang.

Abigail was becoming quite a good friend to Arthur as well, as if he was getting some relief or pleasure he hadn't had for a long time from her. Though it wasn't the same as his previous relationships. Especially from his first that he did not want anyone to talk about. But he knew that her eyes were set on John as the pair had been hanging out more and more. As if they had found some affection with each other. For now it was morning and after having breakfast and his coffee, Arthur was reading through the newspapers on his bed. There wasn't much new in news though something caught gaze as his eyes lingered on a news story.

As he read further he looked as he saw a gruesome image of a dead body, as he looked. Purely disgusted on how brutal and ferocious the injuries looked, it was like someone had gone crazy with a blade, the blade radius was too large and smooth for a knife or a machete. It looked like a tomahawk or a hatchet had whacked the limbs off. It was like the Skinner Brothers had been or some other psycho murderer. Though he remembered a certain man he met months ago who had an axe craze and had tried to kill Dutch.

He hadn't heard of that large O'Driscoll ever since Christmas, hearing that he was in the same state as them made him feel curious whether the O'Driscolls were coming after them again. But the people who were killed had no relation to the gang, so he hoped that it would just slide by. Come to think of it he hadn't heard anything from the "Northern division" of O'Driscolls. Nothing on Liam nor Colm. They must've taken lying low to an extreme extent as it had been more than 4 months and it was silence from them. Though it seemed strange that the large O'Driscoll hadn't made himself known, like it was out of character for a loudmouth, cocky and murderous outlaw. Peterson had a reputation of brutality and now with his brother killed back in Jamestown, he could be like a deranged feral lion if ever faced. Though either way, he knew that one point they would show up again and make their lives miserable through their fued.

He read through the rest of the newspaper till a familiar voice called. "Hey Arthur!" Dutch called out.

"Hi Dutch, you feeling alright?" Arthur asked as he put the paper down and walked to where Dutch was by his tent sat on a chair reading a book by his beloved author Evelyn Miller.

"Of course I'm alright Arthur, we're free. We are free here to do whatever we want in this lawless state that we can stick fit in. I told you we'd be out west and here we are, free from harm and free from the annoying government sticking their noses in places they shouldn't. We are the ones truly living the American dream." Dutch gloated with charisma as he sat on his chair overlooking the prairie desert valley before him.
