Mark x Chenle
Chenle pouts at his phone before putting it down. He grabs the pillow next to him and turns on his side to cuddle it, pretending the pillow is his boyfriend.
He tries not to think about Mark and how easy it is to text him and ask him to come over. Mark told him he would be studying. Just two hours ago, he sent a selfie of himself looking sleepy and captioned it 'I'm about to pass out'. Chenle told him to take a break, to remember to eat, and to not fall asleep at the library. Mark replied with two yeses and an 'I'll try but there's a lot and it's boring but I need to do this'. The goodluck message Chenle sent in response was still on delivered which meant that Mark was still swamped with schoolwork and he would definitely be too tired to come over.
Chenle squeezes the pillow tighter but it's too thin in comparison to Marks body. There's no warmth and none of Marks familiar scent. Chenle isn't sure he has anything in his apartment that smells like his boyfriend, pretty sure that the scent on the hoodie he stole from Mark faded.
He gets up and walks over to his closet and finds that he actually has two of Marks hoodies, one of which he plans to trade out for another hoodie the next time he visits Mark. Chenle sniffs each of them and finds that one he actually owns has the faintest smell left on it. He slips it on and immediately feels much comfier than before. He lays back down on his bed and goes back to cuddling the pillow, needing something to hold. He tries closing his eyes but ten minutes later, he opens them, just as awake as before. It would help if Mark was here, caressing his hair and pressing kisses to his forehead until Chenle was half asleep and then mumbling sweet words until Chenle was fully asleep.
Goddammit, he misses his boyfriend.
He pouts once again and then makes another attempt to sleep.
An hour passes and he's not asleep. Chenle puts his phone back down and closes his eyes, planning to keep trying but the thought is interrupted by the sound of the front door opening and closing. Chenle knows that it can only be one person but he's too afraid of getting his hopes up so he waits until the person enters his room.
"Chenle?"
Chenle opens one eye and sure enough, his boyfriend is standing right in front of him. He immediately sits up and pulls Mark forward to hug his waist. He nuzzles his face into Marks stomach and hears Mark chuckle before he starts petting his hair. "What are you doing here?" Chenle mumbles, refusing to move too far away.
"I just studied for hours on end and turned in all my assignments. I deserve a reward."
"You do."
"Which is why I'm here with my favorite person."
Chenle moves back so Mark can see the genuine smile on his face from being called Marks favorite person. Mark has told him that before but he doesn't say it often and he's not as obvious about it as Chenle is.
"You're my favorite too", Chenle says softly, hugging Mark again.
Mark leans down and kisses his forehead which makes Chenle want to melt. "I see you're in my hoodie."
"It's mine."
Mark lets out a light laugh. "Sure." To Chenles dismay, Mark pulls back. "Sorry, I'm just really hungry right now."
Chenle stands up. "I'll make you something."
"I can make it myself."
"I'm doing it and you're going to hug me while I do it. I missed you."
"You sound so angry but it's so cute." Mark takes Chenles face in his hands and places a gentle kiss on his lips. "Sure, I'll hug you."
"Good. I would starve you if you said no."
