Chenle x Jisung

Chenle continues observing his boyfriends behavior, not just with Jaemin, but everyone, and after a while, it becomes clear that he might be harboring a crush or feelings that aren't just friendly for Jaemin. He tells Jeno and Mark and almost laughs at the pained way they don't disagree with him. 

When Mark asked what he was gonna do, he'd simply answered, "I'm gonna see if Jisung tells me", the curiosity being the only reason that he didn't break up with Jisung on the spot.

Last time he'd checked, Jaemin hadn't seemed interested in Jisung, but Chenle still watches Jaemin anyway, wondering if there'd been something he missed.

And right now is the perfect opportunity as they'd all decided to go on a short getaway to the beach. They'd all pitched in to rent a beach house and were currently spread out, while waiting for dinner.

Donghyuck and Jeno are tending to the grill while Jisung, Mark, and Renjun talk and dance to music playing from the speaker, leaving Chenle and Jaemin alone. Chenle feels a little awkward to be left alone with Jaemin, but he knows it's his fault for never trying to get closer to him, so they just sit in silence.

It's only when Jisung laughs at something and Jaemin smiles that Chenle finally gets a peek of what (he thinks) Jaemin has been hiding. Chenle continues studying Jaemin, not really caring about getting caught. 

Having an idea of why Chenle is watching him, Jaemin sighs. "You know, don't you?"

Chenle blinks, not expecting for him to outright confirm his suspicion. "I'm right?"

"You can keep looking at Jisung and then me. I doubt it's for fun."

"I'm doing this because I wanna see if Jisungs feelings are mutual."

Jaemins head snaps to Chenles. "What?"

Chenle chuckles bitterly and nods to Jisung. "It seems like he likes you. He didn't say anything...yet, but he doesn't have to. I thought I was being paranoid but I guess I'm not."

"Are you...are you sure?"

"We'll find out later."

Jaemin frowns, looking so much more stressed than before. "If that's...if that's true, I'm sorry. And I-" His voice breaks as he starts crying. "I'm sorry for wanting him to like me. I know he has you and I know you love him. I don't wanna break you up but I want him. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay", Chenle says softly, patting his back. "I'm not mad at you. I'm not mad at Jisung either. I'll be mad if he doesn't tell me how he feels, but I'm mostly just hurt that I'm not enough."

Jaemin starts vigorously shaking his head. "You are. You are enough. Jisung really does love you, even if he likes me. He wants you. He always talks about you and the way he looks at you..." Jaemin looks away and sniffles. "He'll get over whatever he feels for me. He should."

"Are you trying to convince yourself or me?"

"I mean it, even if I...even if I don't fully like it."

"Hey Jeno-"

"No."

"Jeno, please."

Jeno snorts and takes a sip of his drink. "You made your bed, now lie in it."

"But I-"

"You're sorry? Didn't get what you want?" Renjun looks almost shameful and Jeno wants to laugh, as mean as it sounds. "You and Donghyuck hooked up."
