I know her (Keira Walsh)

Having to play for England was the best thing you could've asked for, you got to represent your country and you met some of the best people you could've asked for. That also meant you were surrounded by beautiful women most of the time, it had been years since you could say you were properly attracted to someone.

Keira was one of your closest friends, you had slowly developed a small crush on her. At first you thought you'd get over it, until you caught yourself feeling a little jealous whenever she would make any small contact with another girl. You knew you had no right to get jealous over someone who wasn't even your partner. 

Nobody knew you liked her in that way, you were pretty good at hiding it until you stopped hiding it.

You were at leah's house, she was having a small get together and she invited you. 

You were having a conversation with Keira, just the way you liked it. Just the two of you and nobody else. Until someone ruined that for you. 

"I don't know...i don't think i have anything planned for summer.." you said. "Maybe we can go somewhere... you wanna come to spain with me?" keira offered. 

"Are you guys going to spain for the summer?" you heard a voice say behind you. You turned and saw that girl. The girl who got on your nerves the most. She had been a friends friend. You and Keira didn't know her much but somehow and some way she always found a way to get into your conversations.

"Uh..." you looked over at keira. "Yeah...i'm going to ibiza actually for the summer.." keira said. "Oh my god that's so exciting..." Carrie said. Carrie was very straight forward sometimes she would openly flirt with half of the friend group. 

"Yeah..." keira awkwardly nodded. "Are any of the girls going with you.." carrie had practically pushed you aside. "Well....i wanted y/n here to come with me but that's up to her-" keira was talking when carrie interrupted her. "Can i come then? If she's going.." carrie asked.

"If you want?" keira sounded a bit unsure. "Okay see you there then.." carrie smiled and caressed keira's arm before walking away. She wasn't the only one who walked away, you walked the opposite way of where she went and went to the fridge to get something to drink. You heard keira following behind you. 

"You alright?" keira asked you. "I'm fine." you said quickly and walked past her walking towards the bathroom.

Keira stayed behind and looked at you walk away. 

"You alright mate?" leah approached keira and asked her. "Yeah..just.." keira turned to look at leah. "Can you make sure y/n is alright? She seemed a bit off.." keira asked leah. "Why don't you go....it can be a chance to-" leah was talking. "No....please go." keira begged leah. "Fine, fine" leah walked over to the bathroom and waited for you to come out.

You were washing your hands when you heard a slight knock on the door. You walked over and opened it seeing leah standing there. "Can i come in?" leah asked. "I'm done anyway.." you were about to walk out when leah pushed you back in closing the door after herself.

You scoffed. 

"Leah." you said. 

"What's wrong?" leah asked you. "Nothing's wrong, you weirdo.." you said. 

"I know you y/n..talk to me.." leah said.

"I'm fine....honestly." you lied through your teeth.

"Then why did keira just tell me you looked upset.." leah asked you. "Keira said that?" you asked. "She did...now tell me what's wrong, you know you always have this little moments, you get upset and walk away. I've noticed." leah called you out.

"It's..." you hesitantly said. "It's carrie...." you said. "Who?" leah asked.

"That girl that's always getting in people's conversations..." you said. 

"Oh right...she's here?" leah furrowed her eyebrows. "Yes...and keira was asking me to go to spain for the summer with her and she invited herself along..." you said.

"Ah...so you're upset that some girl invited herself to go to spain with keira..." leah said, a little smirk grew on her face. "Leah." you said tilting your head at her. 

"Why don't you tell me the truth y/n...i won't tell." leah said. "Okay.." you shrugged. "I think i like her..." you said looking down at your feet. 

"Like..." leah tilted her head at you. 

"Keira.." you said. 

Leah didn't look surprised. 

"Okay." leah said and turned to open the door, once she did open it she yelled out. "Keira!" 

Your eyes widened and you pinched leah's shoulder. 

"What the hell do you think you're doing.." you said.

"Ow! Trust me...i know her...i know what i'm doing." leah said and she opened the door when she saw keira walking towards you guys. 

"Yeah?" she said. 

"I want you and y/n to talk things out..." leah turned to you and grabbed you by the arm pulled you next to keira. "Tell her what you just told me...trust me you won't regret it." leah said before walking out of the bathroom and closing the door.

"What did you have to say?" keira asked you. Her looking into your soul didn't help. "It's nothing." you shook your head. 

"Y/n." keira said. 

"I told leah..that i liked you." you said looking down at the floor to avoid eye contact. You didn't keira say anything so you looked up at her, she was smiling.

"What are you smiling about.." you said. 

"I knew it...leah knew it first but we knew." keira said.

"Well why didn't you do anything..." you asked. "Well....me inviting you to spain was me trying to make the first move..but obviously that was ruined.." keira admitted. 

"Oh..." you said. "So you feel the same?"

"I always have y/n.." keira admitted. You smiled widely at the blond. "Well...now what...you're gonna go to spain with carrie.." you reminded her. "We can go somewhere else, just the two of us." keira suggested. 

"Have you ever been to Greece?" keira asked you. "Nope." you shook your head. "Okay, you and me and greece during the summer." keira said.
