Warning: Swearing, Angst

______________

It had been 3 months after you and leah had decided to cut things off, it really came out of nowhere. Leah didn't even bother to tell you to your face, she texted you to cut things off. Part of you didn't want to be upset, after all you two were never together. It was just a bunch of hookups, meaningless hookups, to leah.

To you, it began to seem like something else. You started to think leah might actually have deeper feelings for you, that's what caused you to open yourself up to her one night.

Those three words slipped from your lips.

You remembered, from time to time that image would pop into your head. You felt embarrassed that you even thought leah would be into you. The next day after that hookup, you woke up to an empty apartment Leah wasn't next to you, instead she texted you.

'I can't do it anymore.'

The text was engraved into your head, just when you thought you had found someone, she left you. At first, they were just meaningless hookups, but they started becoming something more to you, to leah, they were always just meaningless.

"Y/n.." you heard your friend call your name.

You turned to them and shook your head. "Yeah? Sorry..." you said.

"Were you...staring at her?" alice asked.

"No...I..." you tried denying it. "...Can you blame me...look at her..." you slowly turned to look at leah again. A brunette under her arm, right besides her as she was talking to keira. Keira was the mutual friend you met leah through, even though there was nothing between leah and you, keira stayed your friend.

"Y/n, stop it." alice grabbed your arm and turned you around to look at her. "She left you, remember?" she reminded you.

"I know..." you looked down at your drink.

"She's useless....she doesn't deserve you." alice said.

Alice had been with you throughout everything that happened, you cried in her arms the day leah left. Alice didn't want you to ever talk to leah again, she hated seeing you that hurt. Especially after you opened yourself up to leah, and she just used it to her advantage.

"So...who do you think she is?" you looked up at alice.

"I don't know...maybe her new toy..." alice said looking behind you, she quickly looked at you and shook her head. "I didn't mean-"

"It's fine..." you smiled, reassuring her. "That's what i was to her...it's the truth." you shrugged.

"Are you gonna be okay? We can leave-"

"No, i'll be okay...we're here to have fun." you said.

You looked around to the rest of the people, the house was getting a bit packed. It was keira's birthday soon, so she decided to throw herself a little party. There was nothing 'little' about this though.

"I'm gonna go refill my cup, i'll be right back okay?" you told alice.

"Okay, i'll be here." she smiled.

You walked over into the kitchen, it was empty. Completely empty. You walked over to the bottles on the counter, placing your cup in front of you. You slowly opened the bottle and tilted it, pouring some into the cup. While you were doing that, you heard footsteps approaching the fridge. You thought maybe someone wanted water or something, you put the bottle down on the counter and turned to look.

It was Leah.

"Hey." leah closed the fridge and looked at you.

You weren't sure if you were hallucinating or if she was actually there.

"Hi." you said and took your cup, you were about to head out but she spoke again.

"We haven't...talked in a while." she said walking closer to you, a grin on her face. "Yeah, well, you did ghost me." you told her. "Y/n, come on, don't tell me you're actually upset about that..." leah scoffed and folded her arms across her chest.

"Leah- don't even..." you turned to walk away.

"Wait." leah said.

You turned to look at her again, waiting for her to speak.

"What do you say we go out for coffee tomorrow?" leah offered.

"Coffee?" you asked.

"Yeah, we can go to your favorite place..." she said. "Why don't you go get coffee with your new toy?" you said putting your cup down on the counter.

Leah scoffed and smiled looking down.

"She's not-" leah began talking. "I don't care leah. I really don't...what makes you think i'm gonna go out for coffee after you ghosted me...right after i told you i loved you..." you felt your voice get a bit shaky.

"You don't love me..." leah shook her head.

"You're right i don't anymore." you said.

"You never did...you loved what I did...you loved the way i made you feel, but you never loved me." leah said, her voice sounded so serious. "How are you going to tell me how I felt? How would you know, you never gave a shit about me..." you said.

"Come on, let's just put it past us...don't you miss the nights we had..." leah had that stupid smirk on her face.

"Wake up Leah." you clapped your hands, the smirks flew right off her face. "No." you said.

Leah tilted her head at you.

"Did you hear that? No. Do you know what that means or do you need me to elaborate...i bet you've never been told no before huh?" you smiled at her. Her face looked hurt, but you were exhausted. "You came here with another girl, you ghosted me after i told you i loved you, and you expect me to just 'forget' everything and go back to how we used to be?" you said, leah looked down at her feet.

"I'm tired of it Leah, I can't go through all that shit all over again." you said.

Leah stood there, in silence.

"Forget it." leah said, she turned away and walked back out into the party.
