Whenever you were on your period, you liked your space. Your girlfriend of 2 years, Megan, knew that. She always gave you your space, your hormones were everywhere around this time of month. You didn't want to be mean to her, but you were very emotional and your mood swings were very present.
It was normal for a lot of women so you didn't find it weird, megan respected what you wanted.
At least that's what you usually wanted. You felt a bit off this time, not 'off' in a bad way but it was different.

"What's been going on with you?" you asked megan, you had just walked out of the bedroom where you had been laying in for the past hour.
It was early in the morning and megan had woken up already, way before you even woke up. She was a very active person, so it didn't surprise you.
"What do you mean?" megan asked from the couch, she had been watching tv ever since she got back from her morning run. "You've..." you paused for a second. "You haven't came into the room...or talked to me..." you said walking over to the couch and standing in front of her.
"Well..." megan paused and looked up at you. "I didn't think you wanted me to..." she said.
"Why would i not want my girlfriend to talk to me..." you felt your voice get a bit shaky.
"hey.." megan took your hand and sat you next to her. She put her arm around you and brought you closer to her. "I didn't mean it like that...i meant, usually you like to have your own space when you're..you know." megan smiled at you.
"Well...not this time...i want you with me- and i don't want you to leave." you held her hand. "You know i won't leave your side." megan reassured you. "Next time, tell me you want me around." megan smiled at you.
You smiled and nodded.
"How are you feeling.." she asked softly.
"Not that good...these fucking cramps have been hell...all night long.." you rubbed your lower stomach. "Oh.." megan rubbed your shoulder a bit. "Is there anything i can do baby?" she asked you.
You looked up at her and smiled. "You can make me that tea you always make..." you said.
"You got it...why don't you choose a movie...anything you want, we'll watch together." megan smiled and kissed your forehead.
