It had been about a month since you and Elisa had broken up. It all felt like it happened just yesterday, but you knew it had to be done sooner or later. Elisa didn't want it to happen, but you couldn't live with it anymore and act like it was normal. Half of the time you spent arguing instead of actually acting like a couple.

When the news came out about you moving to Lyon, elisa absolutely lost it when she found out about it through social media. She had came home that night and you both argued over that. You knew you should've told her first, she was your girlfriend after all. But you knew she would try and talk you out of it, you had to focus on your football career. The fact that PSG and Lyon are one of france's best clubs didn't help.

It was a Saturday night, your former PSG teammate Sakina was throwing herself a small party. Except when you got there it wasn't small at all. She had invited all of her teammates along with friends outside of football.

You were sitting down talking to Grace when you saw Elisa walk in. 

You knew she would be here, you didn't however expect her to have some girl around her arm.

You looked at Elisa, she had that smirk on her face like she knew exactly what she was doing. You looked down at your drink in your cup and cleared your throat.

"You alright?" grace asked you. You nodded. "I'm fine.." you said. "Listen, they're probably just friends.." grace tried making you feel better. 

Everyone knew you and Elisa had been smitten with each other since you first met, nobody was really surprised when you both started dating. Everyone also knew you had broken up with each other.

"I don't really mind...i did call things off, she can date whoever she wants.." you looked up and smiled and grace. "I'm gonna go use sakina's bathroom upstairs...i'll be right back okay?" you said to grace as you stood up. "I'll be here.." grace smiled at you. 

You had walked up the stairs and turned right into sakina's bathroom walking in and closing the door behind you. 

You looked into the mirror and tried to hold your feelings back. Of course you loved Elisa, seeing her with another girl after a month of breaking up with her made your stomach turn. It was you who called things off, but it was for the better. No matter how much you still loved her, it was the right thing to do and it was also toxic at time. But you still missed those times when it wasn't toxic. When she would take you out on dates, buy you anything, cook for you, hold you at night.

You knew you had to push all of it back, you couldn't go crawling back to her especially not after seeing her walk in with some other girl. In your eyes, it was way too early for her to have moved on that quick, considering she was the one who didn't want to break up.

You opened the door and to your surprise, elisa was standing there.

"Hey." elisa said. 

"What are you doing here?" you asked. "Well...Sakina invited me-" she said.

"I meant here." you pointed at the floor. "Aren't you supposed to be downstairs?" you said stepping out of the bathroom.

"Grace told me...you looked a bit upset." elisa said. "I'm not upset...just needed to use the bathroom." you shook your head trying to walk away when elisa stood in your way. "Can we talk y/n?" she asked you.

"Talk about what elisa. There's nothing to talk about." you reminded her. "Please, i just want to talk to you." elisa said furrowing her eyebrows a bit. 

You sighed and nodded slightly. "Fine.." 

"Come here.." elisa walked over to Sakina's spare bedroom. You followed behind her. Elisa then closed the door behind you once you stepped in. You sat on the bed and looked at elisa as she walked over to you sitting beside you. 

"Are you okay? How are you?" elisa asked. "You brought me in here to ask me how i am? What do you even care?" you snapped at elisa. The fact that she had came in with some girl and was sitting here pretending to care about you infuriated you.

"I do care believe it or not.." elisa furrowed her eyebrows at you. "Why'd you come here with some random girl?" you asked. "Don't worry about her...we're not talking about her, we're talking about you." elisa said.

"Well i wanna talk about her...is she your new little girlfriend?" you asked her. "No." elisa said. "Now can we get back to you...i saw your face when i entered.." elisa pointed out. "You looked a bit upset..are you okay?" elisa asked once again. "No i'm not okay elisa...i've just seen you walk in with some random blond around your arm.." you rolled your eyes. "You want me to be happy about that?" you scoffed at her.

"Y/n....you were the one that wanted to break up..why are you getting upset about me seeing someone else?" elisa said standing up. "So you are seeing her?" you stood up as well. 

"No..for fucks sake, but if i was? Why are you getting upset over it if you wanted to end things.." elisa called you out. 

"I didn't want to....i needed to." you admitted. 

Elisa stood there in front of you, not comprehending what you meant by that.

"You think i wanted to let the girl who i truly loved go?" you said. "It was toxic elisa....i accepted it, you need to do it too..." you said starting to head towards the door when you felt elisa grab onto your wrist. You turned around and looked at her. 

"Whatever the problem was...we can fix it y/n, i promise.." elisa said shaking her had. "And what if it doesn't work out...what if it's a waste of time?" you said.

"Then at least we can say we tried...instead of giving up just like that.." elisa said.

"I'm not sure i can put myself through something like that again elisa.." you shook your head looking down at the floor to hide the tears forming in your eyes.

"I promise...we can fix what we have." elisa said cupping your face making you look up at her. You looked up at her, meeting her eyes with your glossy eyes. "It's still there, you and i both know it y/n." elisa said. "I want to be better for you.." elisa nodded slowly. 

"Me too elisa.." you closed your eyes making the tears fall down the side of your face. You felt elisa wipe her thumb over your face, wiping the tear away. "Come here..." elisa pulled you in and held you in her arms.

"i'm sorry.." you whispered.

"It's okay.." elisa kissed the top of your forehead.
