You were sitting at home, browsing for something to watch on your tv. Your girlfriend had opened the door, she was out getting groceries except she looked a little too excited to get home. Mapi had a wide smile on her face when she walked in, she placed the groceries on the kitchen table and walked over to you.

Mapi seemed to be holding something behind her back, you smiled and looked up at her. She sat next to you and smiled. 

"What are you looking at me like that for.." you said looking at mapi. "Remember when i told you i ran into my friend a couple of days ago?" mapi asked you. You nodded and let her continue. "Well, she owns a jewelry store...and i passed by today to talk to her and see if she had anything for you.." mapi pulled out a squared box. 

"Mapi.." you began shaking your head.

"It's perfect, you're gonna love it.." mapi opened the box and revealed a charm bracelet. "I know you love the little charms and stuff...let's see if it fits...pull up your sleeve." mapi said, wiping that smile off your face.

"My sleeve?" you asked with a serious look on your face. "Yeah.." mapi was struggling on taking the bracelet out of the box. You were hoping she wouldn't be able to get it out but she did in seconds. You didn't want to pull your sleeve up for a certain reason. 

You didn't want mapi to know.

"Can't we try it on later..i'm really tired right now.." you said faking a little yawn. "Come on, it'll take a few seconds...i want to see it on you." mapi smiled at you. 

You nodded and pulled your sleeve up but faced your wrist down on the couch, your heart started to beat fast. Mapi put the bracelet around your wrist and clipped it on, she smiled down at it. "Do you like it?" mapi asked you. You nodded and smiled. "It's beautiful.." you said.

Mapi all of a sudden, no warning, turned your wrist around. Her facial expression changed, a worried look took over.

"Qué es eso?" (What is that?) mapi asked. You quickly pulled your sleeve down. "Mapi..." you breathed out. "Y/n...you know you can tell me everything..anything at all." mapi reminded you. You nodded. "What happened.." mapi asked you. 

"It- it was when you left to go to mexico...on that trip with the girls.." you said holding you wrist. "You burned yourself because i left you?" mapi raised an eyebrow. "No- not because of that...it happened when you were gone...i've just had so much on my mind..not good things of course." you looked down at your wrist. 

"I'm sorry i wasn't here.." mapi apologized. "You have nothing to be sorry for mapi..." you shook your head looking up at her. "Next time you're ever feeling like this, please talk to me..." mapi said. You nodded. "I'm here for a reason, i'll help you in anyway i can- i would've gotten a flight back home to be here with you." mapi said.

"I know you would've...i wanted to to enjoy your vacation though.." you said.

Mapi slowly and carefully reached over to grab your wrist. "Can i?" mapi asked grabbing your sleeve. You hesitantly nodded and she pulled it up slowly, she stared down at the burn mark. "Y/n...does it hurt?" mapi asked running her fingers around it. "No...not anymore..." you said.

Mapi just looked at it, examining it carefully, you started to feel a bit shitty and insecure about it. 

"I regretted it the second i did it...now i'm stuck with that ugly mark.." you said. "I don't think it's ugly. I think you're beautiful even with this...but that doesn't mean i want you to do it..i'm here now." mapi said rubbing her thumb gently over the mark. 

"I love you." you said looking at mapi. "And i love this bracelet, it really is beautiful." you smiled.

"It's beautiful on your wrist. I love it and I love you." mapi smiled and leaned in giving you a small peck.
