What's that face (Mary Earps)

You had gone out with your girlfriend Mary to a pub, to celebrate the win for the Euros. It had been a long tough ride, but they made it. You were friends with mary first, that's how you got so close with the rest of the girls. Mary did the football, but you were just the supportive girlfriend that went to half of the matches for her. 

Only her.

The music was pretty loud and the pub was pretty filled with people, the girls had spread out but had tables close with each other. Some were on the dance floor, some were at the bar, some were nowhere to be found. 

"Mary- babe! I'm gonna go get another drink at the bar" you turned to mary who was sitting next to you. "Hurry back, i want to have you near me..." mary smiled at you. You nodded and stood up walking towards the bar. 

The bartender walked over to you instantly as you walked up and sat on a stool in front of the bar. "What can i-" the bartender stopped mid sentence and squinted her eyes at you. You stood there for a second then looked around. "You alright?" you said tilting your head at the bartender. "Yeah you just-" the bartender covered her mouth with her hand before laughing. You smiled awkwardly since you didn't know what was going on. "Y/n." the bartender said. 

"Yeah? How do you know my nam-" your eyes widened. "No way!" you said pointing at her. "Grace! I can't believe it's you.." you said smiling at the girl. The girl who you had gone to school with, you got separated when she left to go to a university in america. "You've changed...you look so mature now." grace smiled at you.

"As do you...behind that counter.." you said laughing a bit. "So what can i get you to drink?" grace smiled at you. "Just a margarita please." you smiled. 

You saw grace get a start on your drink, you felt a hand slide up for back onto your shoulder. 

"Hey..." mary whispered in your ear. 

"Hi." you smiled.

"What's taking so long." mary said. "Just- i met up with my old friend here, grace.." you smiled and motioned to grace who was walking over with your drink. "Here you go pretty lady.." grace smiled and placed the drink in front of you. "Grace, this is Mary. Mary this is Grace, my friend" you smiled and looked at grace. 

"Nice to meet you mary." grace politely smiled at your girlfriend. You turned to mary and saw that her jaw was clenched, she hadn't said anything to grace except just gave her a death stare. Mary walked away seconds later, you looked over at grace. "I apologize..." you said. "It's alright, don't worry." grace smiled.

You walked after mary and turned her around by grabbing her arm. 

"What's wrong." you asked. "Nothing." mary shook her head. "Mary.." you tilted your head at her. "Y/n.." mary breathed out. Mary then grabbed your hand walking you to the empty bathroom. You looked around and then back at mary. "What's your deal? And what's that face?" you asked mary who seemed very bothered by something.

"Who was that." mary asked you. 

"My friend...i literally told you that." you responded. "Why the hell was she making you laugh so much...what did you guys talk about." mary questioned you. "Mary stop being like this.." you grabbed her hand and smiled. "You know...jealousy looks hot on you when a random creep is hitting on me but you have nothing to worry about grace is just a friend from school." you reassured mary. 

Mary looked at you unsure for a bit, but pulled you closer to her by your waist. "Just a friend?" mary asked. "Just a friend." you said pressing your lips over hers. You could feel a smile form on mary's lips when you held the kiss for more than a few seconds. 

"Promise when we go back out there, you're gonna be right next to me the rest of the night." mary said holding you close. "I don't want anyone else looking at my girl.." mary shook her head. 

"I promise." you smiled.
