Ever since you were a little girl you had dreamed of winning something, whether that was a match, the world cup, or any sort of championship. You mostly had accomplished all of that already, you only had one thing left on your list.
The Ballon d'Or.
You and alexia had both been nominated along with other amazing football players. You weren't 100% sure you were gonna win, but when they called your name up on the stage your heart almost stopped. You knew you had a slight chance of winning, you were going up against really great football players. And Alexia.
Your speech was short and simple, you were pretty taken back and in shock still.
Alexia was waiting for you at the stairs, she helped you get down carefully. She looked so proud and happy for you, part of you felt bad that it wasn't her holding the award at that moment.
"You did amazing...you had nothing to be nervous about..." alexia whispered into your ear as you both walked back to your seats. You looked around at the amount of people clapping for you, you smiled and sat down in your seat. They started announcing the next award and you looked at alexia.
"I'm really so-" you were about to finish that sentence, but alexia stopped you. "Don't you dare finish that sentence..." alexia caressed the top of your hand and smiled at you. "Alexia.." you said.
"You won this, you did. Tonight is your night, don't make it about me..." alexia said. "You deserve this...and i am happy for you, i want you to know that...we both achieved our goals." alexia smiled at you.
"Thank you.." you smiled at your girlfriend.
"We're gonna have to celebrate, this is a huge accomplishment." alexia smiled and raised your hand up to her lips, she gave the back of it a little kiss.
