Pairing: Young Leah x Young Reader

_________

It was going to be your first day at a brand new school, your parents had moved houses so you obviously had to find a new school to go to. There was no doubt you were feeling nervous, you couldn't sleep the night before. You were having non stop anxiety, you began to overthink. All of that was useless, you probably got about 3 hours of sleep.

You woke up early in the morning to get ready, your mom driven you to the school.

__________

You had finally found your class, you were one of the first ones to get there. There was only you  and some other guy sitting opposite of you.

"You must be Y/n? Y/n L/n?" an older woman approached you. You figured she was the teacher. "Yes." you looked up at her from your seat. "Well, Welcome to my class...if you have any questions let me know, i know the stuff you were learning at your old school, we're not much behind so you might know some of the stuff already." she gave you a warm smile.

You nodded and smiled. "Thank you." you said.

After some minutes, everyone started coming in. As the rest of your classmates came in, each one of them looked your way, some stared, some just looked. One specific girl sat right next to you. The table was meant for two people, you didn't think anyone would sit next to you but she did. You looked around and noticed everyone was talking with one another, it wasn't shocking to you at all.

These people had been in school together probably their whole life, you were just the new girl.

"Hello." the girl next to you said. You looked at her and blinked, you weren't sure if you misheard or if she was talking to someone else. "Hi." you said blinking at her.

"You're new right?" she asked you. You nodded and tried giving her a smile. "Figured, i haven't seen you around." she smiled at you. "I'm Danielle." she said. "I'm Y/n." you introduced yourself. "Nice name, so do you know where all your classes are?" danielle asked. "Uh..." you looked down at your timetable. "I think i got the hang of it, it's pretty different here." you said folding the paper in front of you.

"Well let me know if you need help." danielle offered. "I will...thank you." you said. You looked at danielle and saw her eyes start to linger, her eyes landed specifically on one spot. "What happened to you..." danielle asked running her hand over a tiny bruise on your arm. You looked down at it and scoffed. "Oh, this is nothing...i was playing football with my brothers and their friends yesterday." you smiled.

"Oh- you play football?" danielle asked you. "Yea- Well no- i mean sometimes, i'm not in a team or anything...i like watching it but i used to." you said. "Mm..." danielle nodded and smiled at you. "Do you like it?" you asked her now. "...No....i don't- hey how would you like to have lunch with me." danielle said. "With you?" you furrowed your eyebrows. "Yeah- and my friends of course." danielle said quickly.

"Uhm, yeah...i'd really like that." you smiled and nodded. "Okay..." danielle took your timetable and looked at your classes. "...You have the same class i have before lunch, so we'll just walk together from there. Sound good?" danielle said. "Yeah." you nodded.

______________

It was the end of class, danielle had sat with you during your class. You both kept talking, you really liked her. It came as a shock to you that you made a friend this easily, and now you were about to make a few more new friends.

"So...how many friends do you have?" you turned to danielle as you walked into the lunch room. "Not many, i like to keep my circle small." danielle said. "So...why are we friends.." you asked her. Danielle and you reached a table, she sat down and you sat in front of her. "Well, i just think you'll like one of my good friends...you two have so much in common." danielle smiled at me. "Talking about her, here she comes." danielle looked behind you.

You turned around and saw a blonde girl, a brunette and a dark haired girl walking towards you and danielle. You turned back to danielle and smiled. The girls sat down, there was plenty of space for all of you.

"Girls, this is Y/n. She's new here..." danielle said looking at you. "Hey Y/n, i'm Ruby." the brunette said. "I'm Sophia." the dark haired girl said smiling at you. "I'm Leah." the. blond said. You nodded and smiled. "Hey." you said. "So...is our school different than your previous school?" ruby asked. "Yeah- i mean not that much but it's not the same at all." you said.

"Yeah- hey do you guys. want to go get lunch?" danielle looked at the girls. "Sure i'll go." ruby said. "Me too, i'm starving." sophia said. "Leah?" danielle asked. "Not that hungry." leah said.

"Okay well, you two talk while we're gone." danielle stood up and smiled at you before she walked away with both girls by her side. You didn't really know how to start a conversation, you didn't even know the girl.

"So...danielle tells me you like football?" leah said, you turned to look at her and nodded. "Yeah, i do..." you said. "What team do you support?" leah asked turning your way. You did the same and turned to face her. "I go for Arsenal, my dad and my brothers got me into the team and football." you smiled. "No way- me too." leah smiled widely at you. "Really?" you asked. "Yeah- my dad goes for tottenham but me and my mum go for Arsenal." leah said. You nodded and gave her a smile.

"So do you play football?" leah asked you. "No- not anymore." you said. "How come?" leah asked. "I made a deal with my parents, well- they made a deal with me. I was supposed to keep my grades up so i could keep playing but- that obviously didn't go well." you said. "Oh..." leah looked down. "I mean i sometimes still play football with my brothers...if they let me." you said.

"Do they not let you?" leah asked. "Whenever they play with their friends, they say they don't want me to play with them because it can get 'rough'..." you shrugged. "Explains this bruise." you lifted your arm and showed leah. "Mm...that's stupid." leah said looking at the small bruise. "Well, you can come play with me and my friends anytime..." leah said.

"Thank you...that's really nice." you smiled at you. "I mean that." leah smiled. "I might just take you up on that offer." you said. "Good." leah nodded. "Maybe we can go to an arsenal match one day...together.." leah smiled. "That would be perfect." you said.
