I didn't know how to tell you. (Jule Brand)

"I don't have time for this- please not right now jule." you said going back to your laptop. You'd been doing some work from home, jule had walked in...let's just say things go heated pretty quickly.

"Not right now? That's all you ever say y/n...." jule snapped. "I'm talking to you." she said after realizing you ignored her. You kept ignoring her though, you didn't want to argue. You figured if you didn't pay attention she'd leave. You had been stressed over the past couple of days, it was work, family back at home and just...personal issues. 

"I'm not going away, you always run away from your problem...well i'm not leaving." jule stood in front of you, next to the bed. "Will you look at me!" jule suddenly shut your laptop shut and you looked up at her. You'd never seen her this mad. 

"What the hell is your issue?" you asked her, standing up. 

"What's more important on that laptop than me right now?" jule folded her arms in front of her chest. 

'Work-" you began saying.

"We both know they don't need you at work, today is your day off." jule said.

She was right, they didn't need you at work. You just wanted a distraction from what really was going on. 

"What's been going on with you lately, you're acting strange." jule asked you. You shook your head but didn't say anything. "Say something. I had something planned for us, i told you to get ready when i get home and i get here to find you like this-" jule said.

"I don't want to go anywhere...i told you!" you said. "It's been so long since we had one on one time, this was supposed to be special...you're always caught up with work-" jule said.

"You're always caught up with football, it's not just me." you defended yourself. "Exactly. That's why i wanted to do something special for us- but it's like you don't care." jule scoffed. "When are you gonna think of me? When are you gonna stop being so selfish..." she scolded you. 

"I'm not being selfish! And stop talking like that, i always think about you and put your first!" you yelled at her. "Well it doesn't seem like it, you barely pay any attention to me!" she yelled back at you. "Is there something going on that i don't know about?" she asked you. 

Before you could answer her question, you saw your vision start to become blurry. You don't remember what happened next, all you remember was feeling a sharp pain in your chest.

Next thing that happened was you woke up, you opened your eyes and blinked trying to realize where you were. You weren't at home anymore. You didn't recognize the ceiling, you looked around and saw a nurse standing besides you. 

"Y/n?" you heard that familiar voice, you looked to the side and recognized jule. "Hey, you're okay..." she whispered, so softly. 

You groaned and held your head, jule took your hand and held it. 

"What..." you began saying. "What happened..." you asked finally getting the words out. 

"You...fainted i think..." jule said. 

You turned to look at the nurse standing on the other side of your bed, you were in the hospital. 

"We've contacted your doctor, he let us know about your heart condition and we're going to make a few tests on you before you're able to go home. So you'll be here for a while." she said, her voice was comforting and you sighed at what she said. 

"Heart condition?" you heard jule ask, her voice was much louder now. Not screaming or anything like that but, she was shocked. After all, she had no idea about it.

"I'll leave you two alone." the nurse said and exited the room. 

You looked at jule, a worried expression overtook her face. 

'Wha-What's she talking about? Y/n? What did she mean about heart condition...what is she talking about?" jule asked. You took a deep breath in and looked at her, she had watery eyes already. 

"I'm sorry..." you apologized. "I...I didn't know how to tell you." you said. 

"You can tell me right now..." jule held your hand.

You nodded.

After explaining everything to jule, she finally understood why you'd been acting a certain way recently.

"Y/n...i'm so sorry sweetheart- if i would've known- i wouldn't have argued- i shouldn't have either way...it was stupid of me.." jule shook her head. "It's not your fault..." you said. "It is, we were arguing and then you blacked out.." jule said. 

"I'm okay now, i'm going to be okay...it wasn't your fault." you said, comforting her. "I'm sorry. I should've told you sooner..." you said. 

"You told me now, i would've wished you had let me know earlier but...i just want you to be okay..." jule said. 

"I will be, as long as you stay by my side...that's all i want right now. To be with you." you said holding her hand.

"I'm not leaving you anytime soon, trust me." jule said.
