My eyes shot up.
Ready to fight.
Whoever took this chance from me.

I looked into those familiar deep brown eyes.

He had pulled up his mask.
The pure distress on his face broke my heart.

I looked back down.
His hand was still around my wrists.

„But....why"

I stammered.
The adrenaline in my body was making me shaky.

„I'm not letting you kill him"

„But I have to end this!"

„It will end. But not like this"

„But Simon-„

„no!"

He pulled the gun out of my hands.
He grabbed my chin and made me look at him.
Away from Graves.

„Simon I need to do this.
He has to die! It won't end when he lives!"

„Listen to me carefully Missy.
I won't let you do this.
I know this is hard.
You've been through so much. But that's not you.
You're the good one.
You're the one that helps.
Look at them.
Look at all the people you saved.
Over half of the shadows surrendered just because of you.
Look at them love.
You did it.
I know how the urge for revenge consumes you.
But believe me if you do this you go down a path where you don't wanna be.
I know that better than anyone.
You're my light.
You're the angel.
I'm the Ghost.
You will save and I will kill.
You're good Missy.
You kill because you have to.
Not because you want to.
I love you with all I have.
I never thought I would find someone who I love this much. And now that I have you I won't let you go ever again.
And I won't let you sacrifice your soul for that.
Let me handle that.
Let me be your Ghost.
Please"

My vision got blurry.
Was I crying?
I couldn't feel anything.

Nothing except the warm feeling in my chest that had replaced the void.

And then I felt again.

Simon's thumb rubbing over my cheek.
The warm tears on my face.
Merging with the blood splattered all over me.
My shaking knees.
Graves heavily breathing body underneath me.
My bloody and hurting knuckles.
My loudly pounding heart.

As if Simon had noticed the change he pulled me down from Graves into his arms.
He wrapped with arms around me and squeezed me.

„It will be ok. It will end here. But please go"

„What about you?"

„I will do what I dreamed of for over a year now"

I felt how I was pulled out of his arms between two other pair of arms.

I watched how Simon pulled down his mask again and his warm brown eyes turned cold.
He turned around and towered over the trembling body of Graves who made a pathetic attempt to crawl away.

I couldn't see more.

Two strong arms wrapped around my legs and my waist and lifted me up.
I looked around and only saw Johnnys serious face as he carried me away.
I looked up to Vincent who stroked some strands out of my face.
I tried to look back.

„Don't sweetie. That's not Simon over there. That's Ghost. You don't wanna see that"

Johnny offered me a small smile.

„Are you ok?"

Vincent asked walking beside us.

„I guess."

I whispered.

„It's ok. You're safe"

„Johnny I can walk"

„But I like to carry you"

I smiled slightly.
This.
This was what I had missed.

Something normal.
Jokes.
My friends.
Feeling free.
Truly free.
