Riley

Two days later I was just cleaning my kitchen as Simon was just going over some forms on my coffee table as it knocked on my door.

I was about to go and get it but Simon was quicker.
He was at the door in seconds.

I could hear him opening the door and then some loud voices.
And seconds later a loud and happy Johnny stormed inside my apartment followed from Gaz.

Johnny had his arms full with some flowers and small presents.

„Missy! Finally!"

He placed everything on my counter and lifted me off my feet with a tight hug.
I laughed loud.

„I see you missed me Johnny"

„you have no idea!"

He set me back down.
I greeted Gaz.

„Nice to get to know you properly now. I'm Kyle"

„I'm Mel."

Simon had said nothing and just started to get a Vase for the flowers.

Then Johnny looked down to me more seriously

„Well are you?
What's your name now anyways?"

„It's still Melissa Johnny"

I laughed.

„But not Gibson? That was a fake right?"

„Yes it was"

„So wants your real name?"

I looked over to Simon and smiled slightly.

„Riley. Melissa Riley"

I said grinning.
It took some seconds before it clicked in Johnny's brain.

„Wait!"

He looked at Simon and then back to me.

„As in Riley RILEY?"

I held up my hand with a simple silver ring.

„As in Misses Riley"

Johnny stared at my hand.
He took it and inspected it as if he thought it was a fake.

„What? When? How?
I left you two alone for two days! TWO DAYS"

„We went to the courthouse the day we came back. Seemed like a good idea to me"

Simon said calm and wrapped his arm around me from behind.

„Congratulations man.
Who would have thought that Simon would be married some day"

Kyle snickered and hugged us.
Johnny was still standing there holding my hand up and staring at us.
Then he looked like he was about to cry and looked away.

„And I thought we were friends!
You took the chance from me to be your best man"

He made a dramatic gesture and let go of my hand.

„It's not that deep Johnny.
We had the opportunity and the thought so we did it"

Simon sighed getting a bit annoyed.
I shrugged and laughed.

„That's unbelievable! A wedding without a party."

Johnny pouted.
Simon sighed again and rolled his eyes.

„So how about we all go out this weekend?
Would that be an idea?"

I said shaking my head.
I felt Simon tense up a bit behind me.

„are you sure? Do you think you can already do that?"

I signed.

„Simon. I wasn't injured.
I've done this before.
And this time is different. I'm free."

He nodded slightly.

„I know I just don't want you to overestimate yourself"

„Simon I will be with you, Johnny and all the others. What should happen? I can't be more safe can I?"

I raised my eyebrows.

„Fine"

he muttered.

„Yes! YES! I will organise everything"

Johnny almost screamed and made some happy jumps.

„Oh god"

I heard Kyle mutter.
I smiled over to him.

„Seems like you will get to know everyone Soap ever knew. He will probably invite the whole base"

I shrugged.

„I'm glad. I'm done with hiding."

Kyle nodded and smiled.

„Right"

Simon pressed a kiss on my head and nodded.

„This wasn't really what I had in mind but ok. If you want that"

„you didn't really thought you would get around that did you?"

„Well I hoped he would take it more easy when it's already done but I guess i was wrong"

I laughed slightly.

„Well all that matters to me is that I'm your wife"

His eyes sparkled bright and he smiled.

„My wife"

He whispered softly.
His grip around me tightened.
I had never seen him this emotional.
But I liked it.
