„So I served years under Laswell.
I was one of her best medics.
Under the name Angel I reached a certain kind of respect.
In the beginning of the Shadows they still had a very good reputation.
Laswell agreed that I could work for them for a couple of months just to get a look in other structures.
Big mistake.
After a couple of months it had made the round who I was and how good I was.
I almost instantly became the privat medic of Graves and his direct team.
And let me tell you I had a lot to do.
Bloody idiots.
All of them.
Sadly Graces grew a bit to attached to me.
He crossed lines and tried to get closer to me.
I rejected him multiple times.
What he didn't really took well.
He grew almost obsessed with me.
What ended in him not letting me return to Laswell.
He held me captured.
I had to work for him still.
But I also couldn't go.
This went on two years till Laswell managed to get me out.
I just couldn't return to duty.
I had enough.
I wanted nothing to do with that anymore.
So I moved over the whole country where no one knew me. I attended this job.
I only told them a few details about my military career. And since Matty has a lot of influence here he let me make the hospital emergency proof.
I trained the nurses in basics and communication. And we build this room here.
They don't have any chance here.
Unless Graves finds out I'm here.
He will show up himself and burn this place down if necessary.
And I'm not gonna let that happen. So you all need to get out and when they hear you're gone they will leave too"

I looked back and my phone.

„Alright we don't have much time."

„Wait. What if he finds out?"

Simon sounded really concerned.

„He won't. My nurses know not to get them any informations"

„But-„

„Simon. I will be fine. You guys need to leave and solve this!"

He sighed but nodded.

„But after that we talk"

„Yes we will. I promise. Now go!"

I lead them through the corridor back upstairs.
As I ordered they had distracted the two guards with a fake medical emergency so we could sneak over the hallway to the other corridor.

I lead them to the back door.
I deactivated the alarm that was bound to it and opened the door.

„Alright go! I will wait 15 min and then I have to go. I will tell them you guys escaped through the door on the east side. They will search in the wrong direction"

„Thank you Mel!"

„We owe you one"

„Just don't do something like that again"

I grinned.
They went but Simon hesitated.

„Simon you need to leave"

„I will come to you when I can ok?"

„I know Simon. Please be safe"

„I will."

He was about to leave as he turned around and pulled me onto a kiss.

„And I love you too Missy"

With that he was gone.

I shook my head and closed the door again.
I activated the alarm again so no one would suspect anything.

I hid there for like 15 minutes.
Then I made my way back to the front desk.
The Shadows that were there were gone.

I looked around.
I found the nurses Locked in the brake room.

„What happened?"

„They talked about an incident in the head office and left"

I nodded.

„Look after the patients. I will go and look"

„Mel! Be careful"

„I am. Don't worry"

I took a deep breath and pulled out my gun.
Now was not the time to play the helpless nurse.
I saw no one on the way to the head office on the 1st level.

I slowly entered.
And what I saw let my blood freeze.

Three Shadows were standing infront of a blood covered person.

Not any person.
This was Matty.

One of them noticed me.
But it was to late.

I was already in the room.

I shot guy number one in the head.
Guy number two got a bullet in the knee.
Guy number three tried to unarm me.
I knocked him out and shot him.

The second guy was passed out from the pain.
Shadows.
What a joke.
I kneeled next to Matty. 

He was breathing.
Thank god.

I heard one of the radios of the guys klick.

„S13? I heard shots. Is everything ok? Is he dead already?"

I clenched my fists.
It klicken again.

„Shadow 0 askes if the task is done. Don't make him come upstairs"

I looked up.
He was here.
Of course.
Another klick.

„Saw them west! Repeat! I saw them leaving west"

Shit they knew.
They would get them.
I had to do something.

Well now it was personal.
He wanted something?
He would get something.

I carried Matty in one of the nearest rooms and contacted the nurses to get him and help him.

I returned to the head office and grabbed one of the radios.
I sat down on the big chair and klicken the radio.

„S13 can't answer sadly. You will have to talk to me"

„Who are you"

„Doesn't matter. Just tell shadow 0 that Angel 0 is waiting for him in the head office."

I placed the radio in front of me.
My gun clenched in my hand.
I knew he would come now.
He would forget the others.
This was the only way.
