A peace offering?

Phillip had been out on a mission only two days after I had arrived.

I was glad.
One problem less.

I actually found good company in Vincent and Dustin.

Vincent was about my age but Dustin was significantly younger.
But Dustin's Humor was hilarious.
He reminded me so much of Johnny.

Phillip returned after two weeks.
He was suprised and impressed by the impact I had on the base.
I could see how pleased he was.
He was probably thinking I did this because I was settling.

The day he came back he instantly set up that we would have dinner together.
If I had managed to lift my mood a little in these two weeks this ruined everything.

I was reluctant but had no choice.
So around dinner time it knocked on my door.

„Yes?"

Vincent stepped in and offered me a small smile.
He knew exactly how pissed I was about this.

„He said he's ready"

„Sure he is"

I sighed and got up.
I followed him down the hallway.

„Thank you Vince"

I smiled slightly and knocked on the door.
It almost immediately swung open.
Phillip smiled at me like he was the happiest man on earth.
I stared up to him with dead eyes.

„You called"

I said dry.

„Come in Princess"

he grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.

I was confused but then I realised why he asked me in. This wasn't just his bedroom.
It was like a whole apartment.

I was standing in a big living room.
On the other end of the room on the left  was a big couch on the windows.

On the right was a small dining table.

Right next to the door was a small open kitchen.
To the left was a small corridor.
I assumed this would be where his bedroom and the bathroom would be.

I looked around and raised my eyebrows.

„Still no sense for decorations I see"

I mumbled.
Phillip laughed slightly.

„Well you could help me with that"

„Yeah no I'm good"

I rolled my eyes.

He sighed.
Only then I noticed that it looked like he had cooked in the small kitchen.
I raised my eyebrows.

„Wich poor shadow did you promise a promotion that he cooks?"

„I cooked myself Princess"

he laughed slightly.
I eyed him up and down.

„Believe me or not. I made the effort.
It's a peace offering.
I won't let go of my new rules.
But I also don't want you to feel uncomfortable all the time. I thought good food would bring you in a better mood"

He gestured for me to sit down on the table.
I sighed and sat down.

„Phillip there is no peace. You imprisoned me. You try to take something that's not yours. But I know damn well I can't change your mind.
You could start with importing some decent Tea. I tasted the rubbish in the kitchen.
I'm not drinking that"
