Chapter 52

Faith

I felt someone lay besides me. I wanted to wake up and see who that is but my body felt rigid. I couldn't seem to move myself. I could hear people talking around me. It was a child's voice.

"Daddy. Is mommy okay ? " I could hear the sweetest voice of a child.

"Yes. She's alright. She just needs sometime to recharge. " I heard someone say. I know who this voice belongs to but I cannot remember the person.

"She won't leave me right ?" I heard that child again. I could hear the emotion in his voice it's like he's crying.

"I won't let that happen." The man said soothingly to the child.

Then suddenly everything went blank. I couldn't hear anything anymore. I couldn't see anything either. It seems to be pitch black. I tried to get up and move but I could feel weight on me. It feels as if someone was sleeping on me. I took a deep breath calming myself. I felt panic rise at the sudden weight of a strange body on me. I begged my body to move a little to turn around and see. The body on me moved and then everything was bright. I looked around and saw that I was in my room at Angel's. I turned around to see that foreign body on me was of my husband's.

"Hey. You okay? " I saw him shirtless and only in track shorts hovering over me. His palm on my forehead as if to check my temperature.

"I....I'm okay." I couldn't seem to say anything. It might be because of the sudden dream or reality or I don't know what it was.

"It's still early in the morning you can go back to sleep if you want." He said sitting besides me. I was still laying so basically he picked up my head and placed it on his lap and slowly he started massaging my head. It felt heaven.

"Hmmmm. " I don't know how much I wanted this but now that I'm getting it I felt relaxed as if the weight of the world has been take up from my head.

"It seems someone is enjoying" He said still massaging my head.

"Yes." I said in a slow and maybe seductive voice. I was not trying anything right now. I was not in a position to do so. It was just a response of my body.

"Go back to sleep sunshine." He said very slowly but I heard it very clearly. He kissed my forehead and I was already half asleep by the time it was over.

Angel.

She looked so innocent and vulnerable laying on my lap. I couldn't stop staring at her. She looked so beautiful. Regardless of the scars that mark her body she's the most beautiful and heavenly gift I've recieved. I don't know if I deserve her or not but right not I don't want this moment to end. I wanna stay here like this forever. She seems to have trouble sleeping. I knew this would happen that's why I had already decided to stay besides her but I couldn't resist myself from getting in the bed with her. I won't touch her or try anything until she gives me permission. I respect her and her choices. If she doesn't wanna stay here I'll let her go.

I moved a little so that her entire body was on me. I hugged her tightly like this is our last time. I wanted to cherish her and this moment forever. She won't remember any of this because of the meds. My phone vibrated on the bed side table. I turned around to see who that is. It's Chiara. Fuck. I don't wanna do this now. But I have duties and I have to fulfill them at all costs.

"Hello?" I answered. For a few seconds no one answered and I felt confused as to what is going on. I moved a little and and made sure Faith was tucked in properly. Once twice I tried to ask but no one answered. Was she trying to play tricks on me ? I disconnected the call. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to call my security detail. I've people following Chiara all time. Maybe they know something.

"Where is she ? " I asked as soon as the other person has picked up the call.

"Where she belongs?" The voice from the other side made me feel angry and scared all at the same time. I was scared for what was to come for Chiara.

"She's under my protection and you won't touch her. " I said in my Capo voice.

"She was until she removed your seal a few hours ago and now she's all open. "I could hear him laugh from the other side loudly.

"Don't you dare touch her or else I'll cut you into pieces and feed my dogs" I said angrily. I don't know what my next step will from here on but I want him to leave Chiara alone.

"You don't seem worried when you removed her out. " How could he knows this? It happened only in front of a few people.

"Yes I know you kicked her out and now she belongs to me " and with that he disconnected the call. I threw my phone across the room and it crashes into the window.

Shit! What have I done?
