Prologue
Faith
"I love you sunshine." I heard someone speak around me but I was too sleepy that I couldn't even move. Why am I so sleepy ? Why can't I move ? Something is wrong with me. I should sleep I'll think about this later.
"Sunshine?" Again I heard some voice around me. I tried to wake up but still it seems impossible. So I went back to sleep.
I opened my eyes. Or better yet I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't do it. Slowly slowly I instructed my body that I'm supposed to wake up and I have to wakeup anyhow. My body regained consciousness and I opened my eyes. I looked around the familiar place that was my room in the penthouse. I tried to get up and sit. I remember eating dinner with Angel but after that it was blank. I moved around a little and got up. As soon as I did my head started spinning. I think it's the wine. Did I drink wine last night? I don't remember. I got up but the world started spinning and gravity pulled me towards it. I managed to hold the bed frame at the correct moment and steadied myself. I walked slowly towards the washroom. After taking a bath I felt somewhat human and good. My feet hurt but not as bad. I applied some ointment and taped it up again like yesterday. My stomach growled. I wore simple summer dress brought again by my husband Angel. I walked out the room in search of food. The house is silent. But the silent is not the one of calm it's haunting. Where is Angel? I turned around to see the clock. It shows 7 am. Maybe he's asleep I shouldn't disturb him. As soon as I reached the kitchen. I heard something. Someone was talking. It might be Angel or maybe not.
I walked down and to my surprise saw the person I least expected sitting down but what shocked me was the shattered television set. How did that happen? How didn't I hear it?"Morning Sunshine." I heard her say.
"Don't call me that." I replied anger in my words.
"Awww. Is it something only Angel can call you right? My bad. What a shame. Aren't we close?" She looked so cunning while blinking her eyes in a repeated pattern to show her cuteness but in turn it just disgusted me.
"Just get out of my house." I said authoritatively. If I have decided to stay here then I want all the trash gone. Even if it's a person.
"Don't be so rude darling? All this will be gone soon." She said looking at me. She got up from the couch and stood near the glass window overlooking the view out there. Now that she's busy looking something else I can observe my surrounding to come out with a plan to throw her out or better yet leave.
"You might be Faith? " I heard someone say from the kitchen. I turned around to see an older version of her coming towards me.
"Yes that'd be me." I answered confidentiality.
She looked exactly like Chiara. Was she her elder sister? No. Chaira was an only child. Was she?
"Yes. I'm her mother. You can call me Aunt Jane or better yet Jane. " She said smiling and moving her hair in a way that maybe sexy for men but for me it's gross.
"Dead are not supposed to walk like that." I said smiling at my own joke.
" Who said I was dead? I'm a living breathing person." She said drinking a sip from her cup.
" I see you've made yourself at home." I said gesturing towards the coffee mug she held.
" Technically. This is my home dear. " She said smirking.
"Mooom." Chaira shouted in her freaky voice. We all turned to look at her.
"Yes my queen. " Her mom replied and believe it or not it was funny so I did what any sane person would do. I laughed.
