(Chapter 43) Bringing Home My Queen

About an hour later, I felt my phone vibrate in my hand, looking at it, I saw a message from my guard saying that the distraction has been created, I should leave now.

Waking Rayne up, I told her, "Mia Regina, we need to leave now, if we want to escape."

Getting out of bed, she put her shoes on quickly and I helped her jump out the window as fast as we could.

Holding her hand, I led her to the beach, asking her to wait one second, while I get the boat and come.

Running as quick as I could to the grass patch where I had hidden the boat, I pulled it into the water, then ran to Rayne and carried her inside, starting the boat up and speeding off before we were discovered.

Once we were at a good distance from the island, I saw Dario running on the beach screaming for Rayne to come back.

Seeing her shivering from the cold of the night, I took off my jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders, holding her close to me to warm her up.

Once we reached the harbor, I helped her out and ran to my car nearby. Handing the boat keys to the owner, I thanked him and drove off.

Reaching the palace, I finally let out a breath of relief for bringing my wife back home successfully.

Going inside, I knew the ball had started, so I walked straight to the ballroom, asking Rayne to walk behind me, so I could show Everly my surprise.

Opening the door to the ballroom, I stepped in, getting Everly and everyone else's attention.

Within a few minutes, Everly came to me and asked me where have I been, that I am not even dressed up yet.

Taking Everly's hand in mine, I stepped aside and revealed Rayne to her and everybody else.

The music suddenly stopped and I could hear all chatter die down completely as everyone looked at Rayne in awe.

Watching Everly move her wheelchair to get to Rayne, I felt my eyes water, when both ladies cries were heard as Rayne bent down and enveloped Everly in a big hug.

Once they pulled apart, Everly at the top of her voice shouted with joy, "My brother found his wife, our beautiful soon to be Queen is back home."

Everybody applaused and grandma came and hugged Rayne, telling her that her wish has come true, she got her granddaughter back finally before she closes her eyes.

Rayne being Rayne, started crying and telling grandma," That is impossible, grandma, because you have to still see your great, great grandchildren first.

Kellen and I only started now with giving you, your first great grandchild, so you still have to wait a long time more until we are done and they grow up to give you theirs before you can leave us."

As a round of laughter spread around the room, grandma held Rayne's face in her hands and kissed her head, before saying, "I missed you so much my child, I am so glad you are finally back."

Excusing Rayne and myself, I told grandma that we were going to go up to our room to freshen up and rest now.

Granting us permission to leave, Rayne and I walked out. At the bottom of the stairs, I picked up Rayne bridal style and went to our room.

In our room, I held Rayne's hand and took her to the bathroom.

Undressing her and myself, I opened the shower, adjusted the water temperature to the correct heat, then went in with Rayne.

Coming home seemed like a dream come true to me. I have dreamt about it for so long and now I was finally here again.

The joy in my heart knew no bounds at all.

Kellen was being so good to me as well. The love, care and attention he paid was beyond my imagination.

Taking me into the shower, with him, he lathered my body with my body wash and rinsed me off, kissing me wherever he touched.

When he was done, he took a towel and wrapped me up, carrying me bridal style into the room.

In the room, he went into his closet and got me one of his t-shirts, which he put on for me, then he pulled back the bed covers, got me in and covered me.

Going to his side of the bed he pulled me towards him and held me tight as he told me to sleep peacefully.

Closing my eyes as I was tucked against him, I fell off to sleep within a few seconds from exhaustion.

The next morning

Waking up, I felt more refreshed than I have felt for a very long time.

Seeing Kellen next to me, gave me the greatest joy ever.

I have spent the past couple of months dreaming of this moment, wondering if I would ever get it again.

As I layed in bed, just staring at him and I heard him say, "Would you like a picture."

Smiling at his words, I leaned forward and grazed my lips over his in a light kiss, before moving back, but Kellen wasn't having it that way, he pulled me and pushed my mouth open with his tongue as he kissed me.

Once he was done, he said, "Rayne, I am the luckiest man alive to have you as my wife. I don't know if I ever told you this but I am so in love with you, I love you so much Mia Regina honestly, I do."

Smiling at him, I said "I love you too so much, My King, I have always loved you from the time you met me on that beach, I was just scared to trust you but you made me overcome my fears and trust in my love for you, even all these months away from you, I knew you would come for me."

"Rayne there is so much, I have to say to you but I just dont want to spoil our time together right now", Kellen said just before realising I had fallen asleep once again.
