(Chapter 46) Rayne's Near Death Experience Over Our Baby

Looking at the love of my life, falling asleep, filled me with a sense of appreciation, appreciation for her finally being done with dealing with the pain, she went through, appreciation for the strong and healthy daughter she has given me. Appreciation for basically everything I have in my life.

Walking out the room, I went to Lorenzo who was standing outside our room door, sticking out my hand, he took it as we shook hands before I thanked him for all his help, he had given to Rayne, during her labor and the birth of our child. Bowing at me, he said, "Your Highness, my duties always will come first, with regards to serving the royal family."
Turning to Bastian, I shook his hand as well, thanking him before going to the nursery to check up on my baby.
Walking inside, I could already hear, her cute gurgling noises, looking at her, I bent down in her cradle and picked her up, placing her in my arms, as I just stared at her. Feeling so grateful for her, I bent down and kissed her forehead.

I think, she was getting hungry because after a while she started becoming crabby. Wrapping her up, in her blank, I carried her to Rayne, who had just gotten up and was waiting for her.

Placing her in Rayne's arms, she fed our baby. Standing back and watching them, I saw Rayne smile at me.

Hearing a light knock on my door, the door opened and Everly came in with grandma.

"Kellen, I came to see my niece, if you don't mind",Everly said

Laughing at Everly, I said "Did I say I minded?"

"Oh come on, you two, give me some space, so I could see our little princess", grandma said as she went to the bed, taking the baby from Rayne's arms. Watching grandma, I could see she was very happy with our new arrival.

"How are you feeling now my dear", grandma asked Rayne as she handed our daughter back to her

"Alot better now grandma", Rayne replied

Kissing Rayne on her forehead, grandma asked, "Do you think you would be ready by this afternoon to show our country, their little princess?"

"Yes grandma, I will be", Rayne said, smiling at her

Taking her leave, grandma told us all that, she has so much to do before we made the royal announcement that our princess has finally arrived, so she needed to get started, before walking out the room.

Making her presence known, by clearing her throat, Everly asked Rayne, if she could welcome her niece because she seemed to be the last one as usual to see the baby. Laughing at Everly's childishness, Rayne handed over our baby to Everly.

"So what are you guys going to name her", Everly asked

"We are not sure, we will discuss it later together", I told Everly

"OK, well I have some good news as well to share with you guys", Everly said

Waiting to hear it, Everly told us, "Well my wedding date has been set for a month from now and it would do me the pleasure to ask Rayne, If you would be my maid of honour?"

Both Everly and I looked at Rayne, as she pretended to be lost in thought, before saying, "Of course, I would be absolutely honoured to be your maid of honour."

Thanking Rayne, she handed back our baby to her before saying she needs to leave to go and sort out some stuff.

Walking Everly out, she hugged me and said, "Congrats Kellen"

Opening the door for her, she stepped out before I returned to Rayne.

After spending the rest of the day with our baby and each other, it was finally time to get ready to show our country, their princess. After Rayne got our princess ready, Bianca came and took the baby away while Rayne and I got ready as well. Giving lots of kisses to the baby, Rayne finally managed to give the baby to Bianca but she had that look on her face, like she wanted to cry, from parting with her.
"Hey, hey, I am still here, give me some attention as well please", I joked with Rayne. "Our princess is only gone for a little while, you can have her back just now, I promise", I said as I wiped her tears.

Nodding her head at me, she walked into the shower, going in with her, I lifted up her chin, till she was staring directly into eyes, then bent down and kissed her. I let my lips do the traveling, exploring her mouth as she moaned at me. Turning her around, I picked up her body wash, started lathering her body and let the water rinse her off. Once we were done, I let her go out as I cleaned myself.

I knew in my heart, I would go to any lengths for my woman and I was proud of it. Finishing up, I got out and went into my room. Looking at Rayne already dressed up, I went into my closet as she sat on the bed, watching me. Leaving my closet door opened, I dropped my towel and changed into my clothes for the evening. Once, I was done, I took Rayne's hand as I told her, "Let's go and show our country our beautiful family finally.

Walking out we went to find Bianca to get our princess from her. Finally finding her, we asked her," where is our baby?"

"She is fast asleep in her nursery, Everly had called me to get her something, that's why I am here",Bianca told us.

Telling her it was fine, Rayne and I went to the nursery to get our baby.

Walking in, we noticed the door was opened. Running straight to the cot, Rayne looked at me with panic in her eyes, saying, Kellen, our baby isn't here", before she ran out with me following. Running to the guards, she asked "who went into the nursery?", but the guards all said "Nobody, why?"

"Because my baby is not there", Rayne screamed. Now everybody around us started to panic as well.

"Lock down the palace", I shouted at the guards. Looking at Rayne who was on the floor crying, I asked Lorenzo to take her to our room but she screamed "No". "Leave me alone and go and look for my baby, because I will die without her, please", Rayne cried out loud. Hearing all the commotion, Grandma came out her room to see what was going on. Seeing Rayne on the floor crying, she asked, "what is the matter?"

Going straight to grandma, I said "our baby is missing"

Putting her hand to her head, she said,"Kellen, I have your baby with me, I saw her alone in the nursery, so I took her to my room, so can you guy stop panicking now before I get a heart attack"

Breathing out a sign of relief, both Rayne and I ran to grandma's room. Seeing our baby safe, Rayne picked her up in her arms and held her close, whispering something in her ears.

Finally after we had calmed down, it was time for us to go out of the palace to introduce our baby to everyone.
