The blood oozed out of the windows like a thick river, flowing down into the drains. The water helped give it enough fluid to move slickly but the process was still slow. Jack stood holding the power hose practically shaking, eyes red but he did his job. Likely he was too afraid of the demon next to him to do anything else. Levi held Jack close, his claws resting on Jacks hip as he gave orders to the droids.
Maurie squeesed Jack's arm as he climbing back into the hall to overlook what would need to happen next. Jack bumped their shoulders together, wanting the touch of someone not about to eat him.
Even with the droids brushing the blood to the windows, blood stained the floor tiles. Some of the droids had mops and buckets, trying to clean what they could with the house's limited cleaning supplies. It wasn't working incredibly well. The tiles were turning almost yellow instead of the original colours. It looked too real to be waved away with fake blood from Halloween. They needed something stronger that D10.
Maurie rubbed the back of his head, trying to come up with an answer. At least the body parts were gone now. Eaten or simply taken away to be stored, he wasn't sure but the array of limbs weren't there. It made it easier to stay calm even with the amount of blood that was surrounding him. That he could pretend was fake.
This was beyond his capabilities. The fake blood wasn't something he normally dealt with. He checked on his phone. Needing to get blood out of things wasn't that too unusual a search. If he'd needed to research getting rid of a body, he'd end up on a list.
"Maurie?" Levi boomed in his ear. Maurie caught his phone before he could drop it into th ebloo and hestiately turned to face the annoyed droid. "Just what are you doing?"
"I'm looking for ways to get the blood off these kinds of tiles, sir. I thought you wanted me to help clean the mess?" Maurie flinched as a heavy arm landed on his shoulders. Vincent grunted, his chin nudging Maurie's cheek as he got too close. Maurie trembled but showed the screen. He had nothing to hide here.
"Such inventions, you humans have," Vincent said, stealing it as read the information. His face pulled away from Maurie but he continued to hold him. "It says we need laundry detergent in warm water. Do we have that Tasha?" he asked, directing the question to one of the zombie droids. It looking up and shook her head mutely. She was from the asylum room of the house and her mouth was wired shut in a cruel gag meant to be reference to a myth. Maurie didn't know much about most of the stories, it was his job to guard, not to be a storyteller.
"I can go get some?" Maurie said, trying to work out how much they'd need for a room this size. "The store on 21st is open 24 hours."
Levi considered and offered his hand to Maurie. Vincent pushed him in the direction and Maurie obeyed. One of Levi's long arms wrapped around him and pulled him flush against the droid and Jack. Maurie rested one arm around Jack and tried not to touch Levi too much. Levi didn't help with that as he dropped his head onto Maurie's shoulder and dug his teeth into the vulerable flesh at the crook of his neck. Maurie grunted and held tighter to Jack.
Jack continued to water the blood down the drain. It was starting to reduce now but the floor remained in no state to let people see it. Maurie watched the water as Levi's teeth dug deeper into his skin. They released. Lips smiled against his skin and teeth scrapped against his neck before Levi kissed behind his ear.
"I think, I want you to stay here for now. Your friend, he can go," Levi declared, releasing Maurie and letting air moved between them again. Maurie didn't reach up to his neck, not yet. "Vinnie, go take Maurie to his friend. Maurice, I expect you back or Jack's life is forfeit."
"Understood, sir," Maurie nodded, try his best not to meet Jack's terrified eyes.
The only thing stopping Jack meeting the same fate as the poor idiots who had broken in was Maurie's good behavour. And possibly a touch of enduldgement from Noah for his love who wanted toys again.

Scribbles and Drabbles
General FictionA collection of one-shots/drabbles that I have written over the years. Hopefully some will get to be turned into full stories one day but for now, this is somewhere safe for them to sit.
