"You've made friends," Fractal said, eyes glancing between the two of them, colour fast draining from his little skin showed below his mask. The district's cute little hero was brave against one of them, but both pushed him over some edge. "That's a no from me."
"Now, don't be hasty," Drax said, coaxing his pest to calm. They had a plan today and that involved Fractal not panicking. He clicked his pocketwatch in his hand in a taunt, grinning as Fractal's eyes locked on to it. Little hero remembered what happened when he got caught in Drax's field. "I'd hate to ruin our bargain."
It took Fractal less than a second to catch on. He vanished. He didn't say no, didn't beg or plead, didn't give in and come quietly; he ran away. Drax exhaled and pocketed the watch.
Too far maybe? Recent events did give Fractal more reason to be cautious. Drax did plan to break their bargain. It was nice of Fractal to break it first; No running away without a given cause. That was going to be fun. Drax didn't grin, but internally, he licked his lips. Next time he got his hands on Fractal, he'd get the man crying. Thorn wanted Fractal and Drax was inclined to give the pretty hero to his partner. He'd look stunning between them. Drax would have to set up a trap and treat Fractal to a special reminder of why he shouldn't try to flee.
"That could have gone worse," Thorn said, irritated that they didn't have their blue-eyed Hero on his knees before them.
"Could have gone better. We didn't get a decent fight out of him either." Drax said, mind spinning with trap ideas. Thorn punched his shoulder.
"That wasn't the plan either!"
"He surrenders sweeter when he's been beat down," Drax said, unconcerned. Drax adored playing with him for it. More so after the fact, getting to put him back together was as lovely. Meeting Isaac was a wonder. Drax wanted to share Isaac with Thorn.
"Brute."
"You love me for it," Drax grinned, pulling Thorn close to bite his lip. Thorn growled.
---
Drax got lucky. Some mob boss tried to shoot up a school to kill some young upstart and Fractal couldn't let that fly. He let Fractal do this job and protect the school with his crystals. The mob boss fled and Fractal followed. Drax pounced, knocking them to the nearest rooftop. Fractal flipped them over, straddling Drax's hips.
"Drax," Fractal wheezed, eyes wide, and he moved to escape.
"No," Drax warned, hooking his hands in Fractal's belt to trap him and flipped them to pin Fractal to the roof. "Not this time, little hero."
Fractal tried to flash away. Drax saw it. He slammed his head into Fractal's and bit his neck, extending his fangs into the soft skin. Fractal's power stuttered to a stop. Drax growled and Fractal went limp under him. A wet wheeze escaped him and Drax waited, one hand pinning Fractal's left hand, the other pushing to the small of Fractal's back.
He could wait all day and Fractal knew it.
It took a second for Fractal to slump in defeat. An indescribable tell of Fractal deciding to trust Drax. Drax wouldn't let go until Fractal spoke. They played this game enough. Drax's teeth left scars on Fractal's neck that let him find him in his civilian form.
"You can stop biting me now," Fractal said, voice low.
Those were not the magic words.
"Please? I'll be good," Fractal said through gritted teeth, shame leaking off him.
Drax considered and let his teeth extend a little further.

Scribbles and Drabbles
General FictionA collection of one-shots/drabbles that I have written over the years. Hopefully some will get to be turned into full stories one day but for now, this is somewhere safe for them to sit.
