Aden was not pouting. He really wasn't. He was an adult, a warrior and a general. He had led hundreds of successful campaigns and defeated many foes. He was well decorated and loved by the men who followed him. He was not pouting.

Only, he was.

The others in the room were smirking amused at his situation, some by the situation itself and others by his reaction to it. Or his comrade's reactions to it in some cases. Aden needed to watch that assassin a little closer around his cousin. He knew the look on his cousin's face and it was one that with any other person, Aden would be needling him for. As it was, that was not someone safe for him to gain a crush on.

"So we're in agreement," Nayan rumbled, the sound rolling through Aden.

Aden looked over at his second hopefully but the man was already protested, nitpicking at some line or other that was in the contracts. If Aden didn't know the man, Aden would assume he was trying to draft this out longer. Only Paul was obsessed with details to the tiny degree and it was him and him alone who would figure if their rivals were trying to pull the wool over their eyes with some minor line in the wording of a footnote. Aden shifted, growling as Nayan gave a disapproval grumble.

He was stuck sitting on the man's lap, it was not the most comfortable thing in the world to do. Especially as only the previous week, the man had tried to blow his head off but things happened. Political landscapes shifted, aliens attacked borders and things happened, sadly rivals had to work together at times.

Why was he sitting on Nayan's lap? The man had dragged him on it after an argument about who should sit at the head of the table. Mostly important due to the face they both needed to be plugged into the system for their sides to be able to interact. The table had layers of information projected onto it, showing where their influences interacted and overlapped as well as how far each spread out into the cosmo.
