at the beach with luis (requested)

(A/N: This oneshot was requested by luismendozaispookie. I hope you like it!)

       The sun was hot as Luis and I carried our stuff to the shore's edge. It was the summer before our senior year and my parents had let me spend the last few weeks of it in Miami with Luis. Finding a good spot among the other beachgoers, we put our things down and set up our blanket. 

       "Are you ready to go in the water, mi corazon?" Luis asked as he threw off his t-shirt.

       I was distracted by his upper body for a brief moment before regaining my composure. 

       "Definitely!" I said, throwing off my own coverup.

       The sand was warm under my feet as Luis and I walked hand in hand into to the surf. I was amazed at how warm the water was, being used to the colder Minnesotan lakes. Dropping my hand, Luis dove under the water, coming up a moment later. He shook out his hair and gave me an expectant look. Not to be outdone, I quickly dove under the water. Coming up next to him, I smoothed my own hair out, wringing out the excess water.

       We swam out to where we were just touching the bottom, the water coming up on me a bit more than Luis given his taller stature. We swam for a few minutes before Luis grabbed me around the waist, drawing me in close. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down for a kiss. Before things could deepen, a big wave came and crashed over us. We burst out laughing and made our way back to shore.

       Picking up two towels, Luis wrapped one around me before wrapping one around his own shoulders. He ran his hands up and down my arms to warm me up. With the weather being so warm it wasn't necessary but I wasn't about to complain. We spent the next few hours wrapped in each others arms on the blanket, talking about everything and nothing. It was a great day.
