(A/N: This oneshot was requested by zbansks. I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by The Four Tops. Now, on with the oneshot!)

       BOOM!

      Thunder crashed outside, causing me to jump for the umpteenth time. The rest of the team was fast asleep all around me in sleeping bags. We were having a group sleepover at Adam's house in the basement and it was really late in the night. I sat up slowly so as not to wake anyone else.

       BOOM!

       I jumped again. This time, I was up and out of my sleeping bag in a flash. I quickly ran to the nearest bathroom and shut myself inside. I made my way into the bath tub like I would have if I was at home and curled up into a ball.

       BOOM!

       'Please stop!' I thought to myself, only to jump again as another clap of thunder sounded. I curled tighter into myself. Just then, I heard a knock on the door.

       "Y/N? Are you okay?"

       It was Adam. I don't know whether it was the storm that woke him or my moving around but I was thankful nonetheless.

       "Come in." I called out, quietly.

       The door creaked open to reveal my boyfriend, his hair disheveled and pajamas rumpled. I felt bad as he looked half asleep but another clap of thunder distracted me. I cowered back into the tub. A few seconds later, I felt a hand running its way through my hair in a comforting fashion. I looked up to see Adam kneeling beside the tub.

       "I'm guessing you don't like storms." Adam said, stroking my head.

       "Not so much, no." I said into my knees.

       BOOM!

       I cringed again and felt Adam's hand stall in my hair. I heard him get up and worried slightly that he was leaving.

       "Okay. Move over."

       I looked up at him. "Really?"

       "Yeah. Scooch." Adam said, with a yawn.

       I scooched over as best I could in the tub and he got in next to me, laying down with his back to the bottom before bringing me into his side. I snuggled in as close as I could as another BOOM! sounded.

       "It's okay, Y/N. I'm here." Adam said, quietly. He made shushing noises as he wrapped his arms around me.

       I pressed my face into his neck and took a deep breath, breathing in his scent. It was extremely comforting. The next time a BOOM! came, I barely jumped.

       "Just try to get some sleep. I'm not going anywhere." Adam said.

       "Thank you." I said back, quietly. I closed my eyes and listened to Adam's heartbeat. It was soothing to hear and incredibly, I found myself actually being lulled to sleep.

       I heard Adam whisper a quick 'I love you' as we both fell asleep. The storm outside all but forgotten.
