~55k Oneshot Special~

(A/N: Here it is! The 55k Oneshot Special! I got the idea for this one while watching a holiday episode of a TV show and knew I had to write it. I hope you lovelies like it! Happy Holidays! Now, on with the oneshot!)

       "Will you at least tell me where we're going? We've been driving for almost an hour!" I exclaimed to my boyfriend, Dean, from the passengers seat of his car.

       Dean laughed at my exclamation but just continued driving. "Now where's the fun in ruining my surprise?"

       I huffed and snuggled in closer to my seat, the seat warmer on full blast. It was snowing softly as we drove with holiday music on the radio. As I said, we'd been driving for nearly an hour and the surroundings weren't familiar to me. I wasn't nervous though because I was with Dean. We drove in comfortable silence for another 15 minutes before Dean pulled into a parking lot. He turned off the car, took off his seat belt and turned to me.

       "Ready for your surprise?" Dean asked.

       "Yes!" I exclaimed back.

       The two of us excitedly exited the car and trudged through the bit of snow before coming to a small building. We stomped our boots to get as much snow off as we could before entering the warm lobby of the building, which was decorated for the holidays. I followed Dean to the front desk. The older woman behind it smiled at us as we stepped up.

       "Hello dears." She said, her holiday sweater on full display.

       "Hello. We're the Portman party. I called ahead?" Dean said, politely.

       "Oh yes! Your carriage is ready and waiting. Just go back outside and to your right. You can't miss it!" The woman said, kindly.

       "Thank you." Dean said.

       "Carriage?" I asked, looking up at Dean.

       "Yep. Carriage." He said, grabbing my hand and pulling me back towards the door.

       Confused, I let Dean lead me back outside and to the right, like the woman had instructed. As we rounded the corner, I couldn't help the gasp that left my lips. Standing there was a huge horse with a carriage attached to it with a man sitting in the front in a top hat and coat.

       "We're going on a sleigh ride?" I asked, a bright smile spreading across my face.

       Dean nodded. "Do you like your surprise?" He asked.

       A squeal left my lips before I threw myself onto Dean in a huge hug. I had always wanted to go on a sleigh ride! Coming from such a big family, though, I'd never been able to afford to go on one. 

       "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I shouted into his chest.

       After another moment of joyful hugs, Dean led me over to the carriage and helped me up into it. I sat down on the plush seat and when Dean sat down, I pulled the cover provided over our laps. We snuggled together in the cold but we barely noticed it.

       "Are we ready, kids?" The driver asked, over his shoulder.

       "Ready!" I called back a little too excitedly.

       Dean and the driver laughed at my eagerness before the driver made a clicking sound with his mouth which signaled the horse to go. A happy gasp left me as the horse started pulling the carriage down the path in front of us. We rode in the carriage in comfortable silence for a few minutes before I had to speak.

       "Dean, I can't believe you did this! This must have cost a fortune!" I said, as I snuggled into his side more as the wind picked up for a minute.

       "I won't lie. It wasn't cheap. But you're worth every penny, Y/N." Dean said back, cuddling me into his side.

       His words had me nearly crying so instead, I grabbed his cheeks and brought him down into a sweet kiss. It didn't last long but it got my thanks across. We rode in the carriage with the snow lightly falling for another twenty minutes before the ride was over. It was one of the best afternoons of my life. I was happy that I got to share it with Dean.
