(A/N: This oneshot was requested by @nailead2000. I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by Bing Crosby. Now, on with the oneshot!)

The Portman's annual New Years party was in full swing. Friends and relatives filled the room, mingling as they ate and drank. Dean and I walked hand in hand through the apartment, just wandering about. We'd already made our presence known among the others so we were just waiting for the opportunity to slip away to the roof.

As we walked through the kitchen, Dean slyly grabbed two glasses of champagne, handing one to me. We quickly grabbed our coats before we hightailed it out of the apartment.

We climbed the stairs that led to the roof, careful of our full glasses. Dean opened the door with ease and we both walked out onto the roof where a blanket was set out. I handed him my glass as I sat down, taking it back along with his while he sat as well, before handing it back to him.

"So, another year gone." I said, taking a small sip of my champagne. The bubbles tickled my nose.

"Yeah. Any resolutions?" Dean asked, taking a sip of his own.

I nodded. "Yep. I'm making my resolution to do more charity work. I have so much that I think it's about time that I give something back, you know?"

Dean smiled at me. "That's a great resolution, babe!"

"What about you? What's your resolution?" I asked, smiling back.

"I think I'm going to really buckle down and try to improve my grades." Dean said, downing the rest of his champagne.

"That's awesome! I know you can do it, babe." I said, patting his knee as I drank the rest of my own champagne.

       "Any regrets?" Dean asked.

I shook my head. "No. You?" I pulled my jacket tighter around myself as the wind blew lightly.

       "Only one." Dean said.

I looked up at him, confused. I didn't know of any regrets that he'd had. We talked about just about everything so I was a bit surprised to hear it.

"What's the one regret?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.

"Not telling you that I love you sooner." Dean said, looking at me meaningfully.

My look of confusion turned to a smile. It was true. When we'd first started dating, we agreed to keep things casual. We were allowed to see other people and we would see how things went with us. It was only after I went on a date with Scooter Holland that Dean decided it was time to make things official. I told Dean I'd only gone out with Scott to make him jealous. He'd just laughed and kissed me. We'd been exclusive ever since, proclaiming our love to each other soon after.

"Yeah, you really should have known what you had a lot sooner." I sassed him.

Dean just rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah."

We sat in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company. Dean leaned in closer to me, wrapping his arm around me. I snuggled into his side as the wind blew again. Dean chuckled at my snuggling but I just stuck my tongue out at him. It wasn't my fault that my boyfriend ran hot and I could use him as my own personal heater.

The sounds of party poppers filled the air as we heard nearly the whole apartment complex scream out 'HAPPY NEW YEAR!' Dean and I looked at each other and smiled. I leaned forward and gave him a light kiss on the lips, his free hand coming up to cup the side of my face. He deepened the kiss when I playfully pretended to pull away, causing me to laugh into the kiss. When we did pull apart, we rested our foreheads together.

"Happy New Year, Y/N." Dean said.

       "Happy New Year, Dean."

(A/N: Thanks again to nailead2000 for the request! Sorry it's a little short! I hope you liked it! Requests are open for the rest of December so send yours in while you can! That's all for now! Until next time! Thanks!!)
