(A/N: Here it is! The 65k Oneshot Special! I got the idea for this one a few days into the poll and I'm so happy I get to use it! I hope you lovelies like it! Now, on with the oneshot!)

It was the feud of the century. It had been going on for as long as I can remember and it didn't show any signs of letting up any time soon. I tried not to take sides but every once in a while I'd dip into either camp for a little while. Trying to mediate the situation was a futile endeavor. There was no denying it...

"Ow! You son of a bitch!"

       "Meow!"

Adam and Mittens just couldn't get along.

That's right. Adam, my boyfriend, and my cat, Mittens, were mortal enemies. I don't know what started it but ever since I've had Mittens, he and Adam just didn't get along. Adam swears he didn't do anything to antagonize the cat and I'm sure if the cat could talk he'd claim the same thing. They just refused to get along and I was getting sick of it.

"Adam, leave the cat alone." I said with a roll of my eyes, trying to focus on my homework.

"I'm not doing anything!" Adam said back from his spot on my bed.

I looked over my shoulder to see Adam laying on his stomach holding his right hand, his pencil and notebook forgotten in front of him as he stared at Mittens who was grooming himself in almost a gloating fashion.

"He scratched me! The stupid animal scratched me!" Adam said. He held out his hand for me to see. Sure enough, there was a scratch on the back of his hand.

"Mittens! Bad boy!" I said, getting up from my desk chair. I lifted the cat up in front of me and gave him a disapproving look.

"Meow." Mittens crooned at me, lifting a paw to my pouting lips.

I couldn't help the laugh the came up from the cute action. Looking over at Adam, he had a less than enthused expression on his face.

"I'm serious, Y/N. That cat has it out for me." Adam said, cradling his hurt hand.

"Aw," I cooed at Adam. I put Mittens down and joined Adam on my bed. "Did that mean old cat hurt you, Tiger?"

Adam stuck his lip out in a pout and nodded his head.

"Poor baby." I said. I reached down, taking his hurt hand and gently pressed a kiss to it. Stopping his pout, I watched as Adam shot Mittens a superior look as if to say 'Haha! I win'. I rolled my eyes again and dropped his hand. "Enough of that. Back to our work."

I got up from the bed and returned to my desk chair, intent on getting through this boring homework before Adam had to leave. Suddenly, I heard Mittens hiss from behind me. I turned around quickly to see him swipe at Adam again.

"Hey!" I called out, standing up quickly from my chair. I picked Mittens up and held him out in front of me. "You're being a bad cat, Mittens!"

"See? I told you he's evil!" Adam said behind me.

"Hush." I said, briefly diverting my attention from cat to boyfriend and back. "What's gotten into you?"

Mittens looked past me to Adam and shook his tail in an agitated fashion. Curious, I set Mittens down. He went straight up to Adam and took another swipe at him.

"Damn it, cat!" Adam said, narrowly avoiding being scratched again. He stood up from my bed and came to hide behind me.

I waited for Mittens to follow after him but he didn't. Instead, with a look of satisfaction, Mittens climbed onto my bed and flopped down against my pillow. He kicked out his back legs, pushing Adam's books off the side of the bed. There was a brief silence before I burst out laughing.

"That was all? I was in his spot?!" Adam said incredulously.

I snorted I was laughing so hard. Looking between my boyfriend and my cat, I laughed until my stomach hurt. Adam stood there with his arms crossed, looking displeased.

"I'm sorry-" I choked out before laughing again. After another minute, I got my laughter under control. "I'm sorry. But you have to admit, Charming, it's pretty funny."

"Yeah, yeah." Adam said, bending down to pick up his books. As he stood up, I saw a grin cross his face. "I guess that means we have to share your desk."

"Nuh uh. You get the floor." I said, pointing to the rug.

"Oh c'mon, Y/N!" Adam complained, pouting again.

"Fiiine. Let me get another chair." I said. I passed Adam on the way to get said chair, kissing his cheek, ridding him of his pout.

As I grabbed the chair from the desk in the hallway, I heard Mittens hiss again.

"Ow! Oh come on! They can't both be your seats!"

I sighed. Grabbing the chair, I resigned myself to my role as referee for the day. I just hoped that one day Mittens and Adam could find a common ground.

       "Stupid cat..."

       "Meow..."

I sighed again. I could hope anyway.

(A/N: Not my usual oneshot but I liked it! What did you lovelies think? Let me know in the comments! Requests are currently open so send yours in! That's all for now! Until next time! Thanks!!)
