(A/N: This oneshot was requested by jackhughesistheloml. I hope you like it! I'm so sorry it took me so long! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by Modern English. Now, on with the oneshot!)

"Your heat's out?" I asked my boyfriend, Charlie, over the phone.

"Yeah. The landlord is calling a repair guy in the morning but for now it looks like I'm sleeping in an igloo." Charlie said with a slight chuckle.

"Aw, Cap. Why don't you come down and spend the night here?" I asked, adjusting my legs underneath me on my bed.

"Wouldn't your parents mind?" Charlie asked, sounding skeptical.

"Charlie, they've known you since we were in Pre-K. They don't mind if you sleep over as long as we keep the door open. Your mom's welcome too." I said.

"Mom's sleeping at a friend's house after the late shift but I'm sure she'd say thanks for the offer." Charlie explained.

"So it's settled then. Come down when you're ready. I'll leave the window unlocked for you." I said with a smile.

We quickly said our goodbyes and hung up. I got up from my bed and got into my pajamas before going to the hall closet to get extra blankets. I told my parents about Charlie spending the night and they said it was fine. Just keep the door open. I rolled my eyes but thanked them before bidding them goodnight. As I entered my room again, I saw movement outside my window. Knowing who it was, since he was only coming from one apartment up, I set the extra blankets down and waited for Charlie to climb into my room.

"Hey." Charlie said, carefully climbing over the windowsill.

"Hey." I said back, helping him through when his foot got caught at the last second.

"I know it's Friday night but I'm beat. Would it be okay if we went to bed early?" Charlie asked, rolling his shoulders to get his jacket off, revealing his own pajamas.

"Sounds good to me." I said. I took his coat and put it on the chair in my room.

I turned back around to find Charlie making himself at home in my bed. I laughed slightly and turned out the lights before joining him. He was quick to wrap his arms around me, cuddling me into his side. We both sighed in content as a comfortable silence settled over us. I honestly thought Charlie had fallen asleep by his steady breathing but him grabbing my hand proved me wrong.

"Y/N?" Charlie asked quietly.

"Yeah?" I asked just as quietly.

"Thanks for letting me stay here tonight." Charlie said.

"No problem, Cap." I said, snuggling into his side more.

Another silence.

"Y/N?" Charlie asked again.

"Yeah?" I answered.

"...I love you."

Stunned, I looked up at his face in the dark. Even in the dim light, he was the most handsome boy I'd ever seen. That was the first time either of us had said that to one another. Sure, we'd said it as friends but never as a couple. A giddy smile slowly spread its way across my lips.

"I love you, too." I said.

Charlie leaned forward and lightly pressed his lips to mine. The kiss lasted only a few seconds, both of us wary of a sudden appearance by my parents, but it was enough. We pressed our foreheads together, both closing our eyes and falling into a blissful sleep.
